Fantasy Throwdown Podcast

My overview of the Eastern Conference this season and to be honest the bottom may be even worse than last year.

More discussion on the Dodgers crashing out of the postseason last night the continued defense of Clayton Kershaw by the organization. Plus we discuss the NBA's growing problem of talking out of both sides of their mouth in the pursuit of money with a certain country I will not name directly.

The Dodgers biggest liability reared his head yet again in the postseason as the Dodgers get eliminated in not so shocking fashion by the Nationals if you have followed Clayton Kershaw's career. I talk about the loss and more importantly where the Dodgers should go from here in my initial take.

This morning I react to the news of Andrew Luck's retirement and I try to prepare Cam for his upcoming draft later this afternoon with my thoughts on how Colts players should be ranked moving forward. Obvious bump up in value for Duke Johnson in light of Lamar Miller's injury but he may still be ranked too low depending on certain formats.

Today I go over the players who are most likely to end up as busts based on where they are being drafted in leagues (Todd Gurley alert is very much in effect today). Also I give my thoughts on the sleeper picks you should be stashing on the back end of your drafts.

Today I go over the fantasy drafts I have seen thus far and point out the players I believe have been overlooked by the general public.

Tonight I discuss the ridiculous lengths US Soccer is going to avoid having to give a pay increase to the US Womens National Team (while pocketing as much advertising money off of them in the process) as well as the multiple sagas involving Antonio Brown that Hard Knocks hasn't even had time to cover yet.

On today's show I give my thoughts on the upcoming Premier League season and where every team should finish from last place all the way to who will win the title this year.

Is Kawhi Leonard the NBA equivalent of Keyser Soze or the beneficiary of an instant gratification media driven society? I have no idea but its 3AM on the East Coast and I need to get some sleep. The Clippers have landed Kawhi Leonard by pulling off a monster trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder to acquire Paul George in exchange for FIVE 1st round picks (OKC will look like geniuses if Sam Presti stays around long enough to use all these picks), Danilo Galinari, and Shai Gilgeous Alexander. Win-win trade on both sides. This is as almost as massive a defeat imaginable for the Lakers and its not even close because the shoe has yet to drop if Anthony Davis has second thoughts at some point this season.

As #KawhiWatch extends into the holiday we are still no closer to finding out where the balance of power will be in the upcoming NBA season. I give my thoughts on the situation and how little we truly know about Kawhi if some of these rumors about his meetings with the Lakers, Clippers, and Raptors are true. Also in today's show somehow the Knicks found yet another way into the current news cycle with a new story that epitomizes the ineptitude of the organization (shocker I know).
