FanX 2021 Report



In this episode of The Dark Corner, we your hosts report from FanX 2021. That is, we cover all three days of Slat Lake City’s notable comic book convention. We record in the car during our trip to and From Salt Lake. Also, we play promos fo a few other podcasts. Finally, DJ Evil Dave ends the show on the Dark Track of the episode.



Day One



First, Brandi finds a great parking spot. Primarily, we meet Adam Savage of Mythbusters and Savage Builds. Therefore, we get his autograph. We soon purchase prints from the artists, Jason Palmer and Rob Prior. Also, we order super nachos from Chile Verde. We bump into Brandi’s sister. Additionally, Dave buys a wallet and Brandi finds Space Godzilla.



Day Two



First, we attend the wedding of Brandi’s friend, Aaron. Dave cosplays as The Riddler. We bump into the Time Variance authority. Also, Brandi finds a dagger while Dave buys a sword. Also, we speak at some length with Larry Nemececk AKA Dr. Trek. We donate some money to charity. Additionally, we enjoy our success in purchasing a mystery box of metal role-playing dice from Uber Dungeon. Also, we purchase some mugs.



Day Three



Mostly, Brandi shows off her Loki cosplay. However, we struggle with the challenges of the busiest day for FanX 2021. For instance, the various stock fewer items. Additionally, walking the convention floor proves more difficult. On the other hand, we manage to find Brandi a tumbler. Additionally, we buy some candied nuts and purchase exclusive shirts from Tee Turtle. We attend a couple of panels.



FanX 2021 Wrap Up



Finally, we recount our overall experience at the convention. For instance, we address adherence to COVID protocols. Also, we note several impressive cosplayers. To end the report, Dave plays Loki by Damsel in the Dollhouse from Playthings.
