Local food organizer for Wisconsin Farmers Unions Forest Humphrey, joins Kristin and Brian to talk about the WI Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA Program) a new program providing support for local farmers. The program is back for a second season where they are awarding 5,000 and $25,000 to supply food to pantry partners, including fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs and specialty products like honey. They are also offering resources to farmers to upscale their business.
