I was blown away when I chatted with Dr. Kevin Todes who is a one of the top periodontists in Australia and he revealed that he grew up on a farm and loved being in nature and with the animals and that was his main passion and wanted to work on the farm.

His Dad told him before you work on the farm first you must go and get a degree. I don´t care what you do, just get one. He then returned as a qualified dentist and still his Dad refused him and told him to specialize in something which then led him to be a leading periodontist.

Did your parents encourage you to further your education?

Dr.Todes now specializes in the aesthetic and functional soft tissue management of gingival recession and dental implants. He is super knowledgeable and experienced. He has dedicated his life to his work and is aware of the current research and publications in the field of Periodontics. He lectures to dental groups and is involved in postgraduate dental education. He is a highly sought-after speaker globally.

We met over 20 years ago when I gave an interactive talk to a group of dentists and specialists about the importance of stretching and having a good posture at work and little did I know that I´d become his client.

I have received two implants, one 20 years ago and one recently for bone loss in my jaw. I can highly recommend him.
