As a lover of Korea drama, this has made me wonder so many things about Korea, especially what their food taste like. Any time I watch Kdrama and I see them eating, I would always wonder what the food taste like.
The main food I have always wanted to try is the “Kimchi”
I always see it in many of the modern Kdrama and I don’t know if it wasn’t a delicacy back in their old day. Probably it’s a modern day kind of food. Kimchi is a fermented vegetable, usually napa cabbage and it is mixed with chili pepper, garlic, and ginger. This just made me think of a vegetable soup we also eat in my home town named “Efo Riro”
Anyways, since i couldn’t get kimchi I went to the Korea store in my city. We also have the Chinese store but since I’m a fan to Korea, I wanted to try their noodles and soju. The noodles was the cup instant noodles and one thing I love about it was how we didn’t need to go through the process of puttinh pot on fire and doing thr cooking ourselve. All we needed was hot water, boiled eye, and the seasoning.
I made a video for it which I will also upload in this article. At first, I had my doubt about the noodles because I haven’t eaten it before and my thought where, they would not be good but guess who went back to the store to het more noodles.
The soju was a bit harsh to my tongue, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t like the normal kind of alcohol we do have in my country but I liked it too.
I’m thinking of asking the store owner if there is a way she can teach me how to prepare a local dish or maybe invite me to join a dinner. I wouldn’t mind, I might finally get to eat kimchi.
If you watch the introduction to thr video, where thr entrance was, you would see on the signpost, every words starts with a “K”
So here is my entry for the #kcontest #4
Thanks for reading and watching. My name is fashtioluwa.
