It's a bird, a plane, wait, no, it's a new episode of Fast Facts! And oh my, what an extensive list it has. In this episode, whether you like it or not, you will learn about gadgets. You'll learn some names, and by god, you'll fall in love. Ok, maybe not the last part.
In this episode, we'll learn about a remarkable horse who helped her fellow Marines at the Battle of Vegas Hill.
Whale, let's dive into another exciting episode of Fast Facts. What's the porpoise of life? The mammal of it all. Now that I'm done polishing off the dad jokes, let's discuss the bite-sized discourse you're about to listen to. Whale falls are something that happens sometimes. We only recently discovered them and only recently-er??? began to study them. If you are willing, I am able to teach you all you need to know in around 5 minutes on the subject (are you new here cause, of course, you already know that).
What's better than a list? A new list episode of Fast Facts after a several-month hiatus, of course! Today you're going to get learnt about some obscure atomic-age weaponry and projects that will make you wonder what credentials one must have had to be a scientist back in the day; because it sure doesn't feel like a big brain was a requirement for some reason.
This episode was filmed in front of a live audience. Come and learn what those three people on twitch did on the night of September 28th between 10:30 to midnight. Don't let anybody fool you into thinking that Adam Diaz isn't a good alibi. The show is on coffee for this one. Learn all you ever could have possibly wanted about coffee. In fact, the only thing I didn't cover was how to pour the perfect foam for a latte. Everything else is right there after you hit play. So go on and learn everything there ever is to know about coffee. Hit the play button for the mocha of it.

We're back, ladies and gentlemen, and we're here to learn about the frozen treat we love to eat: ice cream. Learn the history of ice cream. Who were the inventors of ice cream? What was the first flavor of ice cream? Where does ice cream come from? And did ancient astronauts have anything at all to do with ice cream? Well my friend the answer to all of your questions and your questions questions are inside, and also maybe.
It's trivia; it's a list; it's my comeback episode from paternity break. Is there a better way to come back than to lay out some facts that sound unreal, but are in fact, true? I don't think so. That's why I recorded this little ditty. Because if I thought of someway better, then wouldn't I have done that instead? Think about it [insert listener name here]. I know you're better than that [insert listener name here].
Topics include sunflowers and other flora, Edger Allan Poe's secret stash of hidden hearts, and an ancient way early humans figured out the equator's circumference; if that kind of thing is important to you in a description.

The day the Earth stood still is more than the 1951 classic sci-fi warning of nuclear proliferation that started the meme that aliens won't want to play with us monkeys cause we're too violent. The day the Earth would standstill is actually an apocalyptic event that wouldn't require Gort or any army of robotic police officers to kick off. Forget the obvious literary device and the moral conundrum of the movie title; the literal notion of stopping the world would bring about an authentic and very total end to everything. In 5 minutes, let me explain to you just why and just how.

HEY, LOOK, THIS GUY MADE A LIST! See, everyone cares. Lists are unequivocally the most popular content of my show, so why fight it? In this episode, you'll learn about advergames, a portmanteau combining advertisement and video games (You also just probably learned that portmanteau is the actual word for blended words that combine and retain both origin words' meanings). This style of games became a must for companies to keep up with new trends in media and as a way to avoid regulation from the FCC. The games on this list may be objectionable, but my show, my picks. I left out an honorable mention: all of the recent KFC games, especially the Colonel dating sim. If there are any games you wish were on the list, make sure to leave a comment!
Listener Daryl reached out on a topic he wished to hear me take a stab at. Crabs becoming crabs! Last year, this meme was going around about how all things would eventually become crab, and myself, apparently being an actual crab and living under a million rocks, was oblivious of any such meme. So I did some research and got myself in a fizzy on just how many clickbaity articles and videos I found NOT ACTUALLY EXPLAINING A THING! So I did what I do and became the guy in the corner at the party nobody wants to talk to because every sentence I utter must start with "Well, aCtUaLlY" (just kidding, I also hate those people). No, I actually just did real research, found the meme's source, and just explaining the meme. I also sprinkle in some zoology in this episode to spice things up a notch. It's a quick and dirty listen, my friend. This is Fast Facts, after all.
