Shirley Chisholm was the first woman to successfully, legally, and constitutionally run for President in 1972, 100 years after the first woman tried. She's more than that, though. She is a successful politician, a voice for the voiceless, and a selfless person. Everyone should know her story, so I'm here to tell it for you all.

In the state of Oklahoma, in the city of Tulsa, the African American community prospered until one little mistake... one accident occurred which led to violence against the community. The attacks were horrific and swift. The entire community crumbled. This is one of, if not THE most violent race riot in the history of the United States. This is the Tulsa Race Massacre.

We're back from our surprise break. We didn't want to post during the height of the Black Lives Matter Movement and protests so as to not detract from their meaning. But now as coverage begins to die down the fight isn't over. This episode is a look at the inherent racism that founded the country and the hypocrisy that runs rampant through it.
