  • The Gospel's Precious Liberty
Galatians 5:1–6 marks a hinge in Paul's letter — moving from his theological defence of justification by faith alone into its exhortative implications. This sermon expounds the liberty that Christ has secured for his people, the grave danger of seeking justification through law-keeping, and the nature of the faith that works through love, contrasting evangelical freedom with the yoke of legal bondage. Main points: - the liberty the gospel gives and the command to stand fast in it - the peril of falling back into legal bondage — estrangement from Christ and the fall from grace - the true hope of righteousness through faith working by love Scripture references: - Galatians 3:1-29; 4:1-31; 5:1-6 - Romans 3:20-28; 8:1-4 - 1 Corinthians 7:19 - Philippians 3:2-9 - James 2:10 Free Grace Baptist Church — https://www.freegrace.ca Full transcript & sermon notes: https://sermons.freegrace.ca/sermons/sermon-galatians-5-the-gospels-precious-liberty Description generated by Tyrannus.ai: https://www.tyrannus.ai

  • The Power Of Forgiveness
This sermon emphasizes that forgiveness is the essential key to having prayers answered by God, drawing primarily from Matthew chapter six. It outlines four specific benefits of extending forgiveness to others: receiving pardon from sin, finding peace from shame, establishing a proper pattern for sacrifice, and securing petitions from the Savior. The speaker illustrates how harboring unforgiveness blocks spiritual communication and hinders the power to serve effectively in daily life. By releasing bitterness and reconciling with others, believers remove obstacles that prevent God from hearing their requests. Ultimately, the message calls listeners to actively forgive from the heart to maintain a clear and responsive relationship with God.

  • No Salvation without Representation
The message emphasizes the absolute necessity of divine representation for salvation, arguing that no one can stand before God without a mediator. It contrasts the insufficient earthly priesthood with Jesus Christ, who serves as the superior High Priest having passed through the heavens to appear in God's presence on behalf of believers. The text highlights Jesus' unique ability to sympathize with human weaknesses because He was tempted in every respect yet remained sinless. Consequently, believers are urged to hold fast to their confession of faith and approach the throne of grace with bold confidence rather than fear. This access provides mercy and empowering help for those facing trials, secured by Christ's perfect sacrifice and ongoing advocacy.

  • "That Woman Jezebel"
This sermon examines the church in Thyatira, highlighting its commendable virtues while addressing the serious issue of tolerating a false teacher referred to as Jezebel. The speaker clarifies that this 'Jezebel' represents spiritual compromise and idolatry linked to business guilds rather than mere sexual immorality or personal ambition. Jesus is portrayed as the omniscient and omnipotent Son of God who judges such sin with righteous authority. Believers are urged to maintain their integrity and hold fast to their faith without compromising with worldly pressures. The message concludes by pointing to the ultimate reward of reigning with Christ in the new heavens and earth.

  • Built To Bear Weight
Scripture does not adjust to cultural drift. It confronts it. Paul writes, "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Let all your things be done with charity." These are five clear commands. "Watch ye" means stay awake and alert. "Stand fast in the faith" means remain anchored in revealed truth. "Quit you like men" is old English meaning, "Conduct yourselves like men." "Act like a man" "Be strong" means that weakness is not a virtue when God has commanded strength. Then verse 14 supplies the guardrail: "Let all your things be done with charity." Biblical masculinity is not cruelty, intimidation, uncontrolled anger, or selfish domination. A biblical man is: strong without being cruel; loving without being passive; firm without being harsh tender without surrendering conviction authoritative without becoming arrogant. • The New Apostolic Reformation: Modern Apostles, Dominion, and Biblical Authority
The New Apostolic Reformation is sometimes dismissed because it is not a formal organization with official membership. Yet C. Peter Wagner, who coined the term, repeatedly described it as a movement marked by restored apostles and prophets, extraordinary spiritual authority, apostolic networks, dominion theology, and new approaches to church government, prayer, worship, and revelation. In this episode of NAR to Christ, Dawn Hill examines evidence from Wagner's writings and public teachings. She is joined by Dave Jenkins to discuss the differences between biblical apostles and modern apostolic claims, the danger of revelation beyond Scripture, the Seven Mountain Mandate, declarative prayer, apostolic covering, and the authority and sufficiency of the Word of God. Dawn also offers encouragement to those who have left the NAR or have loved ones still involved. There is hope in Jesus Christ alone. Christians do not need modern apostles, new revelation, or dramatic spiritual experiences. They need the Word of God rightly understood, faithfully taught, and carefully applied.
