ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula says the fate of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial structure will be decided within the next two weeks. This comes after a meeting between the ANC National Working Committee and the KZN PEC in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg. The meeting aimed to address the challenges facing the ANC in KZN, following its poor performance in the May 29 elections, where it secured only 17% of the votes. The newly formed MK Party dislodged the ANC from power in the province. Mbalula hinted that there are limited options for the KZN PEC, fueling speculation that it may be disbanded.
