"The Americans" on FX does a really wonderful job of illustrating some central teachings of the Catholic Faith, namely:

1) Our bodies and souls are connected - what I do with my body affects my soul - we are not machines driven by ghosts

2) The ends never justify the means (the results never make okay the path I took to get those results)

3) Conscience plays a super important role in our lives.  Some listen to it.  Some have to drown it out
