A lot of us men struggle because we are trapped in the swamp of yesterday. We didn't have a father in the home. One of our parents had an addiction problem. ":Parenting" was administered by physical and emotional abuse and a myriad of other reasons that have left you destitute of a positive role model. How do you break the cycle? This week I give a shout out to Steve Thompson owner of The Detail Drs in Boise, Idaho. He and his family decided to do 75 hard together. They were doing really well as a family and one of his daughter's missed a day. So what did he do? Rather than let her fail he started over with her.

This week I share some thoughts about taking on the entire weight of the challenges of life on your shoulders and neglecting to include your wife who wants to be part of your life and finding the solution.

I also talk about running into a hurricane of problems and trying to control every aspect as well as stirring up the pot in the name of "solving the problem"

Hey gents, It's been three weeks since we last sat down. I have been swamped with business travel and neglected to get some episodes pre-recorded. My apologies.

On a positive note, in the past two weeks I've had some amazing opportunities to sit down with men all over the globe to talk about business, family, and personal challenges. In my conversations the reality that many of us are walking with serious personal emotional trauma from our childhood that continues to haunt us even though we've tried to hide it behind the masks we wear.

Today I explore the masks we wear to hide our pain with the hope that it will help us come to grips with what we are trying to hide and have the courage to look at them and start the healing process.
