FKOF Premiere!

The 50th @nwa-uk (New World Audio) outing is here... and what a way to celebrate fifty releases with four Dubstep-driven productions of high caliber by FKOF fam @trashbat.

One of the trusted imprints of our tidy scene gives you an insight in what Dub-driven, classic Dubstep music sounds like. We happily premiere the cut called 'Rabbit Hole', featuring support from none other than Dubstep veteran Crazy D. Simply a BANGER!

In order to celebrate, the label has cut a number of limited edition 10" acetate dub (with NWA logo), which are hand-stamped and numbered with care. Buyers enjoy a bonus instrumental of 'Rabbit Hole'!

'NWA050' is streaming on 30/01/2023 - and both digitals and acetate are up for grabs thru the buy-link attached. Support soundsystem music...

The @bass_water_freak_out imprint from Australia has been releasing an interesting mixture of Bass, Techno & Hip-Hop releases. On their second volume, @jungist, co-founder of @decayau, drops her 'Presence', co-produced at the @dunjsyd studios alongside @swisherman. It gives us a cold and grimey vibe. This is exactly why we premiere/ promo tracks like this, often hidden in wicked compilations of tracks...

'BWFO007' has been released since 17/02/2023 thru all familiar digital vendours. Make sure to hit the buy-link attached to support this piece (and compilation).

The villain of our scene, @unkey, continues to deliver within the 140 spectrum. This time he joins the well-respected @artikal-music-uk imprint, bringing four massive productions to the table. It's an immersive bassweight experience: packed with minimalistic, ice cold drums and hypnotizing stabs. Just listen to 'That Sound'...

Killer A&R'ing by label owner and FKOF familia @jkenzo, as Unkey's 'Orbs' EP has enough flavours to fire up any kind of dance. One for the sweaty basements/ clubs...

From the depths of the @locus_sound labs, the imprint proudly presents you their fourth LP, featuring over 15 bangers of tracks. Our FKOF familia @mabarkabeats, the now familiar Kiwi's, drop their rugged 'Skull Crusher'.

If you love tickling stabs, distorted kicks and a gulf of underwater subweight, this production is your favourite cut of the LP. And so it is ours, no surprise given the punch, reverberation and mid-range victory...

Don't forget dons @substrada, @oxossibeats, @korsaindubs, @darkai, among other wicked producers!

FKOF Promo!

Yes, we know most of you have worked out who's on this record, but here it is – and it's yours from tomorrow!

Here we are, with the end of another year and 7 more releases to our back catalogue. Things have slowed down on the physical side of the imprint, so we’re focusing on quality cuts to end our 2022 and welcome back two of our favourite producers to the family (as well as a new addition)…

FKOFv008 is available for pre-order now (just hit the buy link), and drops on general release 16th December - just in time for Christmas. You can pre-order from our friends at Unearthed Sounds (/ the rest of the retailers with the record) here: https://www.unearthedsounds.co.uk/release/356732-substrada-fkofv008

A1. Substrada - Coolin' With The Gang

A2. Substrada - Predator Flow

B1. Substrada & Kusmo - Wump

B2. Substrada & 11th Hour - Colossus

“Continuing where Oddkut and Abstrakt Sonance’s FKOFv007 left off, our 8th record is a collaborative affair – three artists, four tunes and a whole lot of weight. @11th_Hour is one of our long-standing collaborators, having appeared on our second ever EP back in 2013, and @Substrada is quickly following in Jason’s footsteps with his latest outing with us. And, as you’d suspect, we’re delighted to welcome Charles back after his epic (collab) 'FKOFd046' in 2020. Last, but definitely not least, we welcome @Kusmo to the FKOF family – an artist we’ve super excited about.

“'FKOFv008'’s been doing the rounds for most of 2022, with two solo outings for Substrada and two collaborative efforts. We’ve had some epic DJ support from the likes of Mala, but it’s hard to choose a favourite from across this record. ‘Coolin’ With The Gang’ is signature Substrada; all spooky atmospheres, suffocating sub pressure and a few vocal samples that have upset a few radio stations over the last 12 months. It’s a banger. The second Aside is the meditative ‘Predator Flow’ – eyes down power and our favourite beats, bass and space recipe. Watch for this one! The third inclusion, the Kusmo collab entitled ‘Wump’, does what you’d expect. It is, as it proudly exclaims, “the shit”. We’re excited to see where these two take their efforts (separately and together)! The record closes with the absolute scenes ‘Colossus’ has inspired across the dance floors this year, with Substrada and 11th Hour joining forces to create one of our tunes of the year. It is relentless.

“FKOF Records celebrates its tenth birthday in 2023 and we’ve got some epic physical releases coming to celebrate our decade of 140bpm. Substrada’s 'FKOFv008' gives you some idea of what we’ve got coming, and we hope you enjoy these four tunes (from three of our favourite producers!) as we close out 2022. Thank you for all your support this year, and we’ll see you on the flipside.”
