FKOF Promo!

We're delighted to welcome Canadian production/ DJ talent @nahlith to the FatKidOnFire family. This release has been a long time coming and is testament to the quality material Aspen's been busy building recently. FKxF/Nahlith drops next Friday, 11/06/21, (pre-order live now) and is then available on all major streaming platforms a week after that, 18/06/21.

1. Nahlith - Weaving Shadows

2. Nahlith - Etchings

3. Nahlith - Eclipse

4. Nahlith - Physis

"I'm a very visual producer, I pull influence from experiences or imagine an atmosphere that helps me get lost in the writing process. These four in particular pull a lot from my time at Shambhala in BC Canada, specifically the Grove stage. At the roots, the tunes are trying to play with the feeling many people experience when they enter these outdoor festivals, or the forest, or any other part of nature that pulls out the more nomadic and uninhibited side of us. These festivals have changed countless lives, and I think at the root of that is we are given the opportunity to let go as a community and explore our natural selves.

"'Physis' is greek for Nature. 'Eclipse' is a dark and beautiful event experienced from the perspective of earth (and a roaming/nomadic festival!). 'Weaving Shadows' pulls from the almost trance-like state people get into when in flow on the dancefloor. 'Etchings' is sort of playing with this funny word I came up with that describes the vibe at some festivals in Canada: "Forest G". It's like this fusion of dubstep, hip-hop influences (like trap hats, 808 etc.), and organic elements that have a unique vibe in my mind."

Back at it again with Aussie imprint @uncomfortablebeats for today's upload. Hot off the back of @obanibeats' release with the label, they team up with @dannytntradesman, @joesnowds and Danny T for the latest banger.

This one drops today, so grab the release via the buy link...

"Joe Snow teams up with UK heavy-weight production duo Danny T & Tradesman to deliver a whopping dubstep anthem built for the dance. ‘Scallywags & Sound Systems’ is packed with low-end bass pressure and detailed flows, depicting flashes of early sound-system and rave culture. This two-track release includes the vocal and instrumental versions, and is accompanied by a music video shot by Chris Bromley, capturing the raw vibes down to a T."

The don of dons @indijiuk returns to the @upriseaudio label, after releasing one of our most favourite tunes ever named 'Dubwise '07'. This time this badman brings three heaters, one of which is called 'Eat Your Lemon', one of those sour productions in Dubstep.

No, for real: Moody production featuring moving bassline programming in the bottom end. If you love twisted percussion, raw FX processing and the system rumbling, Indiji's cut is all yours.

'UA043' is set for release on 28/05/2021 thru all familiar digital vendors, hit the buy-link attached to cop it and support both Indiji and Uprise Audio.

4. Subreachers & ARtroniks - Dub Echoes

"Next up from the fairly young Black Teeth Records imprint, we welcome the super-versatile sounds of Subreachers, who unveils four tracks of original dubstep flavours to enjoy with this spicy new EP. This EP offers distant, wobbly, “drive-by” and deep dungeon vibes. As you may notice, 'Dub Echoes' is a collab between Subreachers & ARtroniks from a long time ago, resurrected from the vaults."
