Yesterday leaders from the Intelligence Community were in front of the Senate to testify about possible threats to the United States. What are the major issues these agencies are monitoring?

The DACA battle is ongoing and is being waged in both Congress and in the courts. Garland and Lee talk about these clashes and if there is a possible resolution that will be passed by Congress and signed by President Trump.

Former Deputy Assistant Attorney General of the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice Bob Driscoll returns to Fault Lines to break down the latest revelations regarding the FBI and DOJ. Have these agencies acted inappropriately and abused the FISA process?

On this episode of Fault Lines, hosts Garland Nixon and Lee Stranahan analyze the Trump Budget proposals including $1.5 Trillion in new spending for for big business under “infrastructure,” $billions for new nuclear weapons, and more. The budget would increase the deficit to record levels, despite its deep cuts to environmental, health, labor, consumer, food and drug safety, and other programs that protect Americans.

The budget would also slash or zero out funding for public education and information including NPR (National Public Radio) and PBS (the Public Broadcasting Service) and eliminate or cut back dozens of other programs. Does this budget represent American values? Will it help or hurt the already-volatile economy?

There is a long and documented history of members of the intelligence community using the mainstream media to manipulate the public. Recently, both James Clapper and John Brennan have become "Senior Analysts" at CNN and NBC respectively. Garland and Lee talk about this trend and whether it is healthy or dangerous to have these individuals serving as media analysts while at times commenting on their own actions in government.

With the Republicans passing a massive spending bill last week, they appear to have betrayed their constituents who expect them to deal with the growing deficit and national debt. Lesley Clark, National Correspondent for McClatchy DC, joins Fault Lines for the first time to discuss this topic and whether Congressional Republicans can ever be expected to seriously curtail spending by the Federal Government.

There has yet to be any formal agreement over DACA, and there is sure to be plenty of heated rhetoric during the upcoming negotiation process. Garland and Lee are joined on the show by former Louisiana state Senator Elbert Guillory who provides his thoughts on DACA, illegal immigration, and the American citizens who he claims have been forgotten and neglected by the politicians in Washington DC.
