Every Christian has faults and flaws, but spiritual growth overcomes them. Faults are our sin-nature trends. You acquire flaws from bad decisions, poor habits, misinformation, and meaningless rituals. Will you allow the sin nature to control your life, or will you choose to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that He can guide you? “I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh [the faults of the sinful nature]” (Gal 5:16). We are in a mess nationally because of our lack of knowledge of God and His Word. The issue is the spiritual lives of this country’s citizens. We have neglected God’s Word. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).⁠
