Events, places, and people that define the culture of Fayette County, Georgia!
Kenny Blum - a long-time resident of Fayette, bit of a history nerd, and amateur podcaster -…
Kenny’s journey began years ago teaching high school English —where American Literature was a staple—before evolving into a library media role. He doubled down on his historical pursuits, collecting credentials via a Fayette-Henry Summer History grant, prestigious teacher institutes at Monticello and Mount Vernon, and a stint as a Social Studies site coordinator - with a Georgia Council for the Social Studies presentation tucked neatly into his cap.
Today, he serves as both a docent and board member with the Fayette County Historical Society. Having managed school video and audio production for nearly three decades, diving into the technical mechanics of podcasting was a welcome next step rather than an obstacle. Given that his personal media has long been dominated by history documentaries and podcasts, launching Fayette Footprints was practically inevitable. He isn't aiming for global domination or viral renown; it’s simply a passion project designed to bring Fayette’s rich past to life, one story and one local listener at a time.
