In John 8, Jesus makes His second “I AM” statement when He calls Himself “The Light of the World.” Jesus makes this dramatic announcement towards the end of the Feast of Tabernacles revealing that He has always been the One leading God’s people and He continues today. When the religious leaders brought a woman caught in adultery to Jesus, they thought they had finally caught Him in a trap.
