Grumbling and complaining happens when we forget God's provision and presence.

When the enemy is chasing, we can be assured that God is likely protecting us from worse trials, that God will deliver His people from their ultimate enemy, and that God is always worthy of our praise.

In the Passover, God calls Israel to remember the substitution of a lamb for their salvation and deliverance from Egypt. In the same way, the Passover also points us to Christ--our Passover Lamb--and encorages us to remember what the Father has done for our salvatoin and deliverance in Christ!

In the ten plagues, God not only declares war on Pharaoh, but also on the gods of the Egyptians. The plagues help us answer the quesiton, "Who is your God?"

God gives us the strength to persevere through discouraging times by reminding us of His Gospel promises!
