What happens when you prayed, trusted God, did everything you knew to do, and life still didn’t go the way you expected? In Luke 24, two disciples are walking away from Jerusalem after everything they hoped Jesus would do seemed to fall apart. Their words capture something many of us have felt: “We had hoped…” In this message from our Trusting God When Life Hurts series, we look at how disappointment can shape our view of God, why God’s faithfulness does not mean He will follow the script we have written for our lives, and how we can keep following Jesus when the story goes differently than we planned.
Do you ever feel disconnected, even when you're surrounded by people? In this message, Pastor Scott explores Hebrews 10:23–25 and shows why following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey. While loneliness is becoming more common than ever, God has designed the church to be a place of accountability, belonging, and care. Discover how biblical community helps us remain faithful, encourages us through life's struggles, and reminds us to hold tightly to the hope we have in Christ. Whether you're new to church, considering joining a small group, or simply feeling isolated, this message will challenge and encourage you to take your next step.
Serving isn't about earning God's love, it's about responding to the love we've already received. In this message, Pastor Scott explores John 13:1–17, where Jesus humbly washes His disciples' feet and demonstrates what it truly means to lead through serving. Discover how the gospel frees us from selfishness, why no act of service is beneath a follower of Christ, and how serving others is an essential part of following Jesus. Key Scripture: 📖 John 13:1–17
In this final message from our Experience This series, Pastor Brian teaches through John 15:1–12 and brings together everything we have discussed about slowing down, Sabbath, prayer, worship, gratitude, joy, and being present with God.
This week we explore what it looks like to find joy and contentment when life feels overwhelming. In Philippians 4, Paul shows us how to bring our worries to God, remember His faithfulness, and focus on what is true.
True joy is found when we trust God and receive the life He has given us today.
Worship is more than singing songs on Sunday. Worship is about what has our attention, affection, trust, and lives.
In this message from our Experience This series, Pastor Brian teaches from John 4:23–24, Romans 12:1, and the Psalms to show that true worship is the inner person turned toward the true God. We were created to receive from God, reflect Him into the world, and return praise back to Him.
When life gets busy, hurry and distraction can pull our hearts away from God. But praise helps lead our souls back to what is true. Through singing, thanksgiving, surrender, and expressive praise, we turn our whole lives back toward the One who is worthy.
Because worship is not just what we do in the room. Worship is the whole life centered on God.
Do you ever feel like you're constantly carrying the weight of your life, even the good parts? Your home, your family, your job, your responsibilities... they are all blessings. But sometimes those blessings become burdens, and before long we're so busy maintaining life that we forget how to enjoy it. In this message, we explore what the Bible teaches about Sabbath, from Genesis to Jesus to Hebrews, and discover that rest isn't laziness. It's obedience. It's worship. And it's one of God's greatest gifts.
Many of us live as if everything is urgent. We rush from task to task, carry tomorrow's pressures into today, and feel constantly behind.
But when we look at the life of Jesus, we see something different. Jesus had more demands on His time than any of us, yet He was never frantic, rushed, or controlled by pressure.
In Mark 1, we discover one of the reasons why. Before the crowds, before the demands, and before the expectations of others, Jesus began with the Father.
We live in a world full of distractions. Between work, family, responsibilities, and the constant noise around us, it can be easy to lose sight of what matters most. In Luke 10:38–42, Jesus visits Mary and Martha. While Martha is busy serving, Mary chooses to sit at Jesus’ feet and simply be with Him. Jesus reminds Martha that although her work is good, Mary has chosen what is better. In week one of Experience This, Pastor Brian challenges us to consider how busyness can keep us from experiencing life with God. The goal isn’t to add more to our schedules, it’s to make space to slow down, be present, and spend time with Jesus.
