Week 2 of "Possessing a Passionate Pursuit of God" looks at "things above" (Col. 3:1-2) as we see things from God's perspective as well as the unseen world above us. What can we learn about pursuing the Lord from God's pursuit of man and the angels desire to "look into" the manifold wisdom of God (1 Pt. 1:12; Eph. 3:10)?

If faith is necessary for salvation as well as the basis for our daily walk, what makes it a spiritual gift? We also take a look at the only confirmation gift that is applicable to the church today.

Tonight we kick off our study on pursuing God by looking at the definition and usage of the word "desire" throughout scripture. We let the Bible interpret itself and find a stirring thing about desire and its usage throughout. Who or what are you pursuing after?

We look at what's known as the "Revealing" gifts which, for us in the church age, reveal new perspectives on matters. Those with these gifts have a knack for internalizing truths, but they can't stay internalized - they must be used to edify the body of Christ (Eph. 4:12)!

Today is jam-packed with understanding why gave us all spiritual gifts at the moment of salvation, how Jesus' physical body mirrors what he wants to do with his spiritual body, the difference between gifts of the Spirit vs. fruit of the Spirit, and intro what gifts are still in operation today compared to those that are obsolete.
