Today, we contrast the disciples attitude toward a poor, smelly, blind beggar with the mind of Christ to serve without respect of persons. Do we pick and choose who we wish to "serve" or approach with the gospel? Or do we see others through the eyes of Christ?

Already feeling the heat and pressure of our school schedule kicking into full gear, we need to re-shift our focus on what it means to "find rest unto your souls".

School's back and with it come the day-to-day testings of our faith amidst projects, papers, presentations, practice, plays, etc. The pressures of school can be a lot on your minds as you navigate this new schedule. What can we learn from Job to help?

This is one where we need to truly ask ourselves: "Do I really know what it means to sacrifice?" Do we serve Christ at a cost or is it within our convenience? What has your faith cost you lately?
