It's both a sobering and encouraging time as we hear from both Matt and Corneliu as they update us on the work of Broken Walls International in the former Communist republic.

Suffering is something that we as Christians grudgingly admit is part of life following Christ. We know that Scripture speaks about it and we know Christ endured it. Yet here in the first chapter of Colossians, Paul speaks about rejoicing in suffering. REJOICING?!?? Really?? That would seem to be very difficult. As Christians, we often fall into the trap of thinking that the life of a believer is supposed to be more than suffering and hardship, more than just Christ. But Christ is more than sufficient! Christ is beyond what we can imagine. Pay close attention to this message and check your own heart as Paul shows us that we could ask for nothing more than Christ.

In Luke chapter 10, we find Jesus in an encounter with a lawyer asking some pointed questions about life and the hereafter. It's very easy for us to consider ourselves better than this lawyer since he seems to be so set on justifying himself.
