  • "Summer's Not My Thing (Live in Studio)" - Ferocious Designs

    Welp, this was recorded as part of the 24-hour WXPN #xpnsongchallenge. I wrote, recorded, performed and submitted this video within a 24-hour period starting at noon EDT on Saturday, June 1, 2024. I played the electric rhythm guitar, trumpet and keys. Absolutely no loops were used. Unfortunately, my USB camera started weirding out 3 days before I needed to make the video so I ordered a replacement that I didn't really get to test out. The combo of that along with my computer running very slowly lately meant that this video looks like something you would see on the Internet around 2005.

    (NOTE: This is a revised edit of the live performance video I submitted to WXPN for the song challenge. I was under time constraints so I wasn't able to make it look a little better despite all the technical shortcomings. I think this version is a touch better.)

  • "Years Go By" - Ferocious Designs (Live in Studio, NYE)

    Flashing lights warning

    Decided to perform "Years Go By" live to backing tracks in my studio and turn it into a New Year's Eve video. This was performed, recorded and edited within a span of 12 hours on Dec. 30-31, 2023. This is a challenging song for me to sing because of the high notes, and everything is a challenge for me to play because I'm not even a decent live performer...but I think this came out OK. The backing tracks cover up a lot, thankfully. Of course, not being used to performing live to backing tracks, I kind of mistimed a chord change at the end because I was thrown off by everything else stopping. And that kind of stuff is why I don't play live shows. The studio version is on my album, Looking for the Light, released in March 2023. Free stock videos by Videezy.com.
