    This was one of my first sermons years ago. Sometimes I can be my own worst enemy. 

    At the time I did the message I hated it. Not because of the content because of the mechanics I was trying out.  This is the reason why you should always be yourself, because what's good for the geese isn't always good for the gander.

    See sometimes the things we do a one point may seem difficult and you may think you messed up. Then years from now you will look back at that thing and say it was necessary

  • Behind Every Mask, There's A Story
    COVID was an illustration that everyone where's a mask. Depending on how serious people took the virus they wore 2, and even 3 mask at the same time.  If you asked anyone why are they wearing a mask they will tell their story. Because of a family member, their children, it's mandatory, they don't want to catch it, or because they was just scared of the life or death situation...so they wore the mask.
    But what about the mask we wear from the pain, hurt, and trauma in our lives?
    Rick Warren said "Wearing a mask wears you out. Faking it, is fatiguing.  The most exhausting activity is pretending to be what you know you aren't." 
    I reveal some of the mask they I wore and how the trauma from the past put the mask on and me desiring to be a better me took it off.

  • When It's Just Not Looking So Good

    On March 4, 2017 I had to preach a Eulogy for a mother figure in my life, my Best Friend Mother. 

    What's funny about this is when i became a licensed minister she always told me I was her pastor and I would preach her funeral.  We joked about all the time. I would tell her she needed to be in someone church and she would tell me why I get prayer and the word from you everyday.  

    She was from a part of Miami that we call Overtown. Which is known for everything bad and have been seen on the first 48 tv show.  I had did business and lived in the area for over 15 years. I did drugs there and  when I almost had my first overdose she and her daughter kick down my door and saved me.  Right after here mom curse me out something decent.  I bond had grown from there. 

    We never know the impact on people lives we have, or the reason we are in people lives. She saved my life and I was a part of her transition. 

    This is the actual Eulogy, so there will be yelling a clapping but I hope the parts that you can hear touch you to look at your situation differently.
