My podcast will explain this topic.  For many years now I have noticed that the Church have tried to 'neutralized' or 'soften' the Great I AM God of the Scriptures....the Holy God of all gods.... as though He is less 'concerned' about sin (in the Church Age) as He is about relationships.  Yes, we have a loving Father. However, He did NOT stop being Holy and Just simply because He became our Heavenly Father (and because we became His children.) If anything, the Scriptures teach that becoming a child of God has made us MORE accountable for sin. And yet, many leaders in the Church just refuse to teach the Church the numerous commandments handed to them in the Church Epistles!  And I think a main reason for that LUKEWARM attitude by God's leaders and by Believers in the Church (about being obedient to God's commandments) is a LACK of a HEALTHY, CONSEQUENCIAL FEAR of the Lord.  Just like in the world, we have a whole generation of spiritual children who grew up NOT being spanked for being disobedient. And as a result, I believe we have a whole generation of spiritually soft and spoiled children 'running' many of the Churches these days!
