Born Again Believers are called to be the Bible’s ‘gate-keepers’! I know that a lot of emotionally driven Believers get ‘biblical derangement syndrome’ when I say that our Heavenly Father has ‘placed’ the responsibility of guarding and maintaining the purity of HIS biblical Truths on HIS PEOPLE…and NOT on the Holy Spirit living IN His people! (Anyways, that’s a different topic for a different time!) Brethren, it’s our God-ordained responsibility to keep the ‘enemies from without’ and the ‘enemies from within’ from ‘getting into the Book’ and corrupting it Truths thru false teachings! 

A lot of Believers need to get it thru their thick skulls that it doesn’t matter ONE IOTA to the Lord that they sincerely believe what they believe…if what they sincerely believe doesn’t line up with the Truths of scriptures! And when I say Truths of scriptures I MEAN biblically correct Truths of scriptures for the Church Age. I could go into the Scriptures and start teaching born-again Believers all kinds of Old Testament BIBLICAL commandments about what kind of animals the Lord wants them to sacrifice. And even though I would be using the Bible to teach Church Age Believers about knowing which animals they need to sacrifice for the specific sins they’ve committed…those teachings would be the wrong because they’re NOT applicable for the Church Age. As the Church was being ‘formed’ (and then initially came forth) (during the early chapters of the Book of Acts) there were New Testament ‘church’ doctrines that changed the way the Lord wanted things done in the New Testament. And once the Church got the completed written Word of Yahweh in the final Church Epistles…there were even (initial) Truths of Yahweh that were changed when HE gave the Church new progressive inspired revelation! (E.G. In the early stages of the development of the Church the Holy Spirit sign gifts were being manifested. By the time we get to the Apostle Paul’s last Epistles those Holy Spirit sign gifts had ended. And an easy way to verify that was that Paul didn’t have the healing power to heal his closest and dearest faithful friend Timothy.) 

Now, thousands of Bible scholars (who use their minds and not their hearts when determining biblical Truth) already teach what I just said (that the sign gifts have ended!) And yet, most emotionally-led, experiential driven Believers are not going to accept that scholarly fact! The signs and wonders seeking Believers are simply going to choose to ignore the biblical fact that the Holy Spirit sign gifts ended when they Church got the (perfect) completed scriptures…and will instead ‘lean on’ those Bible verses that fit their signs and wonders narrative…even though there is absolutely NO EVIDENCE that the sign gifts are still being manifested. 

Sadly, Believers quite often ‘convince themselves’ that what they believe is right because it seems right or feels right! Brethren, you’re not pleasing your Father if you’re ‘blindly’ defending the spiritual teachings of someone who simply told you they were teaching you biblical Truth! Most Believers these days aren’t taught HOW to study the scriptures and think for themselves. They’re taught WHAT to think! Believers should always CONFIRM and VERIFY! It’s an absolute shame how many Believers believe what they believe because someone told them to believe it! I promise you that at the Judgment Seat of Christ ALL Believers who casually acquiesced to a ‘shepherds’ false teachings will be rebuked for being ‘lazy’ students of the Scriptures!

Sadly, a LOT OF Believers these days are not being taught many of those ‘deeper’ Truths of Scriptures that the LORD intended for His Church to learn and then obey. These days most Believers are content with their spiritual experiences, rather than learning and then obeying biblical Truth. And one of those biblical Truths that most Bible church leaders are NOT teaching the sheep…is the eternal consequences of being found unfaithful or worldly-minded or biblically ignorant (by Christ) at His Judgment Seat.

Brethren, way too many of God’s people foolishly believe that even though they might not be living their earthly lives solely dedicated to their savior…once they die and step into eternity…they will find themselves in the presence of their savior who will be waiting for them with open arms and a huge smile on His face! That my friend is simply not true.  As I stated in my podcast, contrary to what many of you are taught…not all Believers get the same sized ‘piece of the heavenly pie’ when they die! Simply BEING (and not living like you’re) born-again will not ‘get you’ a well done good and faithful servant when you meet your savior. 

 
In the story of the three men and the talents (which is speaking about Believers)…the third servant wasn’t rebuked and chastised by the Master because he had wasted the money that his Master gave him on women, wine, and song! And the servant wasn’t rebuked and chastised because he had gambled away or lost the monies that the Master gave him. The servant was rebuked and chastised because he had not figured out a way to multiply the talents that the Master had given him. 
Brethren, ‘simply’ going to church or Wednesday night Bible studies regularly is not ‘multiplying’ the talents that the Lord has given you. Your Father wants to see a ‘profit’ from the talents that he has given you. One great one to do that is to get out of the soft, comfy, save confines of your local church and GO OUT (in the Market place, at the gas station, at work, on the streets, door to door, when you go for walks, when you visit your dentist or doctor, etc.) and share the love story of Christ with the unsaved. 

Romans 15:15-16 But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again, because of the grace that was given me from Yahweh, to be a minister of Yeshua Christ to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the gospel of the LORD, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. 

Brethren, IF it’s truly your desire to spend your eternity receiving all that the LORD has for His faithful children…and IF it’s truly your desire to hear, “WELL DONE GOOD and FAITHFUL SERVANT” at the Judgment Seat of Christ…then you better be about your Father’s business before it’s too late!

Brethren, unless you can discern that the Scriptures have DOUBLE MEANINGS or DOUBLE APPLICATIONS for some very familiar words (LIKE: ETERNAL LIFE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, JUSTIFICATION, SANCTIFICATION, FORGIVENESS, SALVATION, ETC. ETC. ETC…you are going to have a hard time discerning many of those verses that seem to contradict each other.  

You also need to grasp that there is much more to Christianity than simply being saved. You also need to understand that it takes more than simply being saved to please the Father and/or the savior. The Scriptures tell us that all Believers have the title ‘children of the Light. However, simply having the title doesn’t make a pleasing child. The Scriptures clearly teach that a ‘child of the Light’ needs to WALK like a ‘child of the Light’ if they want to hear WELL DONE at the Judgment Seat of Christ. 

When you read the Bible Parable about the three servants whom the Master gave talents (i.e. gifts to), the Master (i.e. the LORD) expected His servants (i.e. saved children) to use those talents to glorify and bless the Master. As you read the Parable please notice that only two of the Master’s servants heard WELL DONE. Now, they didn’t hear the Master say WELL DONE simply because they were His servants. They heard WELL DONE because they were faithful in their WALK!  The unfaithful Believer (i.e. servant) received harsh rebukes from his Master.  Now again…all three of those servants were eternally saved children of Yahweh. However, in eternity only two of them (the two found faithful) were given the eternal blessing of entering the ‘joy of the LORD’ (in eternity.) And they heard the words WELL DONE because they did things that pleased the Master. The unfaithful Believer not only ‘forfeited’ whatever ‘brownie points’ he initially had (with the Master.) He was condemned to an eternal life away from the joy and fellowship and Light of his savior.  

John 5:28-29 Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice and will come forth; those (Believers) who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those (Believers) who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment. 

And in the case of the unfaithful servant who buried the Master’s talent…his resurrection faced a bad judgment. He was condemned to an eternal life away from the presence of the One who suffered and died to save his sorry butt from hell because he was found (by Christ) to be unfaithful!

BIBLICAL WORD PARALLELS
By that I mean Bible words that have DOUBLE MEANINGS or DOUBLE APPLICATIONS!

Most believers are not taught that many words in the Bible have DOUBLE meanings or DOUBLE applications.  Here’s some simple examples of DOUBLE APPLICATIONS for the word(s) RIGHTEOUS or JUSTIFIED. 

Romans 4:2-6 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before Yahweh. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “ABRAHAM BELIEVED YAHWEH, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, 6 just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom YAHWEH credits righteousness apart from works: 

James 2:21-24 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? 22 You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; 23 and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “AND ABRAHAM BELIEVED Yahweh, AND IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS,” and he was called the friend of YAHWEH. 24 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.

Here’s some simple examples of DOUBLE APPLICATIONS for the word(s) SAVED or SALVATION. 

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, being able to be saved is a gift from YAHWEH;

James 2:14 What use is it, my brethren, if a Believer says they have faith, but they don’t do any works? Can that faith save him?

These are example of TWO words that have DOUBLE applications. (There are many more) And I’ll explain the differing applications for these words in this podcast series. Brethren, IF you don’t know your scriptures very well verses like these can seem to be contradictory. They are not. They simply need to be explained and taught correctly!

Understanding and accepting the FREE GIFT of salvation WILL result in an initial change. A brand-new Believer WILL experience joy, gratefulness, reverence, enlightenment, peace etc. at their conversion. However, the Scriptures are clear that true born again, blood-bought, eternally saved Believers can and do (for numerous sinful reasons) allow themselves to get biblically apathetic and unrepentantly sinful! But make no mistake. IF they are truly saved they need never worry losing or ‘throwing away’ their eternal salvation so long as they don’t openly and publicly renounce their (believing) faith in Christ! 
 
Nowhere in the Church Epistles do any of the writers question the salvation of the Believers they’re writing TO and ABOUT because of how ungodly they were living their lives! The ONLY people who are judged (about their salvation) are those Believers who chose (for whatever foolish reasons) to decide that their initial faith in Christ alone (for their salvation) wasn’t sufficient to save them… so they added a ‘work’ to their gospel (which ‘cut them off’ from Christ! (Like some of the Galatian Believers.) 

I know what I’m going to say next will ‘shock’ many Believers! HOW a blood bought, eternally saved, Spirit indwelt Believer lives their earthly life has no bearing on their eternal salvation from hell! However, HOW a Believer lives their earthly life has everything to do with what their next life will be like!! One of the biggest biblical ‘mistakes’ that many born-again Believers make is to ‘determine’ or ‘question’ IF a person (who claims to be saved) is really saved because of HOW they’re living their earthly lives. The only ‘biblical grounds’ for questioning someone’s salvation is by asking them WHAT ‘gospel’ they believe in. I am afraid that there are MANY in the Church of the Living God who (although they claim to be saved) were never saved in the first place because they believed in a false ‘gospel’ for their salvation.

Oh how 'deeply' and 'profoundly' our Heavenly Father and our savior must love people! Now that I am a born-again Believer in Christ…I can understand the need for Christ’s death, knowing that the only hope for sinful humans to ever be saved (from the penalty of their sins) is the blood of Christ!  

However, even as a born-again Believer, I can’t fully understand the depths of HIS love for sinners who would choose to reject Him and His Son! The trinity of Yahweh doesn’t need sinful humans (forgiven or otherwise) in their lives in order to be complete or have a purpose for existing! In other words, Yahweh doesn't 'need' any of us (saved or unsaved) in order to have a purpose in life! He's the Self-sufficient One!

Now, being that I am an eternally saved, Spirit-indwelt, 'sinner saved by grace' child of Yahweh I ‘understand’ the need for the pain and suffering that the Father ‘put’ HIS only Son thru. I 'get' that only the blood of Christ can ‘cover’ (i.e. wash away) my sins! However, what is ‘hard’ for me to truly ‘grasp’ is WHY Yeshua Christ would go thru all of that pain and suffering for people whom HE KNEW would reject HIS sacrifice at Calvary! 

Well, the Scriptures tell us Why Yeshua Christ chose to go thru all that pain and suffering! It says in Hebrews chapter twelve…“FOR THE JOY SET BEFORE HIM…HE ENDURED THE CROSS’! That means that ‘looking past’ the pain and suffering...AND looking past HIS temporary 'separation' from the Father (when HE 'took on' our sins)...AND looking past all those who would reject HIS love expressed at Calvary…Yeshua Christ ‘saw’ that there would be a FEW who would believe in HIS sacrifice for their sins and gratefully accept His free gift of life! And those few who truly understood and believed what the savior did for them...brought joy to the heart and mind of both the Father and the Son! WOW! What amazing love!

It’s GREAT that you love the LORD because of what He DID (to save you) and because of what He’s DOING right now in your life to bless you!! And those ‘feel-good emotional vibes (that you have for the LORD) are a good thing. Amen! And speaking from experience…I KNOW that any Believer who has a  deep, heart-felt appreciation for what Yeshua Christ did to save them from hell will ‘move them’ or ‘motivate them’ to want to serve Him. (And that too IS a good thing.) However, DON’T make your your heart-felt obedience to God’s Word become part of what you believe is necessary for your salvation. Believing that Christ died to save you from hell…and serving the Lord are two separate things! Way too many people in the Church will say that saving faith is thru Christ alone… and then turn around and ‘attach’ what they’re doing for Christ (i.e. striving to walk righteously and godly) as part of what’s required to be saved.   

Brethren, a person’s salvation CANNOT BE both FREE and NOT FREE at the same time! And salvation definitely is NOT a GIFT from the LORD (received thru faith in Christ)…IF someone MUST DO STUFF (besides believe in Christ) in order to MAINTAIN or PRESERVE their salvation. Now I will be honest with you…I believe that the person who believes they are saved by faith in Christ AND by striving to maintain a godly walk…or by faith in Christ PLUS being faithful to keep some church sacrament…or by faith in Christ PLUS making sure that you make the savior the lord and master of your life is NOT saved at all! The people who believe that they have to DO STUFF plus believe in Christ believe that it is both what they did and Christ did that saves them! The Heavenly Father would never, ever ‘accept’ someone as being saved IF their ‘faith’ is in thinking that they needed to (somehow) “help” Christ get them saved by what they do!

Our Heavenly Father and our savior WANT and GET 100% of the glory and honor and credit for sinful creatures like us to even ponder being freely forgiven (i.e., saved) from all the sins we have committed in our lives! Each and every human ever born deserves to spend their eternity (in hell) paying for all the crimes (i.e., sins) they have committed against the Creator! And I promise you, being that all humans are disgusting, dirty sinners (in Yahweh’s eyes) that just the thought of any human believing they can ‘add’ their works to what Christ already did must make the Lord sick to His stomach! Yahweh All-Mighty ‘detests’ and rejects ANY human attempt to make it seem like that what HIS Son went thru at Calvary (to pay for mankind’s sins) was not powerful enough to save people!

There is a ‘gospel smorgasbord’ going on in the born-again churches these days! Many born-again churches are ‘open’ to allowing whatever ‘flavor’ ‘gospel’ you like…so long as you occasionally mention the savior’s name when you speak of your salvation!
  
Let’s see…there’s the “Lordship” ‘gospel’ which demands that in order for a person to be saved they must not only believe that Yeshua Christ is the only way…a person must also make the savior or the Father or the Holy Spirit (I’m NOT to sure which one it is) LORD and MASTER of everything you do! 

Then there is the ‘assist gospel’! This ‘gospel’ teaches people that they must not only trust that Yeshua Christ paid for their sins…a person must walk a righteous walk in order to ‘assist’ Christ in helping to get them saved!

Then there is the ‘strings attached gospel’ which teaches that once a person trusts Christ as their savior…they must ‘behave’ (in a certain way) in order to maintain their salvation. 

Then there is the ‘didn’t you feel it gospel’! This ‘gospel’ teaches people to simply ask Yeshua into your heart…and IF you get saved you will ‘sense’ or ‘feel’ a ‘salvation experience.’ 

Then there is the ‘cliché’ gospels.’ These types of ‘gospels’ sound really nice on the surface (I.E., accept Jesus into your heart, walk the aisle for Christ, surrender your heart to the LORD), but they do not get anyone saved because an explanation of what the true gospel of Christ is never shared with these people. 

Sadly, many people who profess to be saved ‘believe’ these false ‘smorgasbord gospels’ without realizing that what they ‘believe’ (will save them) has nothing to do with understanding and accepting Christ alone for their salvation!

I’ve been a faithful Gospel sharing Believer for over 40 years. I can count on two hands the number of born-again Christians that I have ever met out in public who tried to give me a Bible tract…let alone tried to share the Gospel of Christ with me! I’ll be honest. I’ve had a lot more Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses try to share their faith with me than born-again Believers!  

So where are all the born-again Believers ‘hiding out’ these days? I know the places where you’re ‘hiding out’! Many of you are ‘hiding out’ in the safe, comfy confines of your local place of worship! You tell others (in your Church) that you ‘love the Lord so much.’ So why aren’t you going out and sharing the ‘love story’ of His Son? Brethren, we’re living in a dying world that desperately needs some eternal hope? I know that some of you sooth your conscience (about not going out and sharing the Gospel) when you send a monthly stipends to that missionary family over in Papua New Guinea or Kazakhstan. You’ve convinced yourself that doing that should please the Lord. P.S. IF that’s the only ‘evangelism’ that you’re doing…it won’t please Him!

And I also know that many of you blood-bought, born-again Believers are ‘hiding out’ in plain sight…up to your eyeballs in the ways and pleasures of this world. I wonder how many people around you even know that you’re a Believer? Now I get it! It’s a ‘little scary’ to think about ‘coming out of the closet’ and ‘exposing’ your beliefs to the world! Especially after you’ve been ‘hiding in that closet’ for so many years. Because you’re ‘thinking’ with your emotional fleshly ‘pea-brain’…when it comes to deciding about ‘stepping out’ and publicly sharing your faith you find yourself afraid of what people might say…or worse yet…what they might even think about you!!! (Said sarcastically!)  Are you kidding me! The Creator God of the universe came down to planet earth…took on a human form…so that HE could suffer and die to save your ‘sorry ass’ from hell…and you’re worried about someone shaming or embarrassing you if you share the message of Christ with them! Good thing your savior wasn’t worried about that on His way to Calvary! Yeshua Christ warned His Followers…”IF any of you are ashamed of ME or MY Word…My Heavenly Father and I will be ashamed of you at the Judgment Seat!  Brethren…there’s only two people who don’t want you sharing the message of Christ with the unsaved! Satan and you’re carnal, selfish flesh!  

Brethren, this world isn’t ‘going down the toilet’ spiritually because of the perversions, immoralities and debaucheries the secular world is wallowing in. These immoral, wicked things have been around since the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. And it’s a fact that these evil, immoral behaviors have become more ‘in your face’ (i.e. openly prevalent) in recent years. And I believe that’s because born-again Believers are not doing their ‘job’ and going out (by the millions) and sharing the free gift Gospel of Christ with the unsaved face-to-face! Getting saved (i.e. getting born-again by putting your faith in Yeshua Christ as your eternal savior) is the only thing that can ‘change a heart of stone’!  

Acts 8:3 But Saul began ravaging the church, entering house after house, and dragging off men and women, he would put them in prison! 
So…did this discourage the Believers from GOING OUT? NOT AT ALL! 
Acts 8.4 Therefore, those who had been scattered went about  preaching the Word.

Saints…IF you truly are born-again…and IF you truly appreciate what Yeshua Christ did to save your sorry butt from hell…than you know that Yeshua Christ IS the only Way (to salvation.) Shame on you IF you’re too afraid or so uncaring that you have no desire to share the 'love story of Christ' with those who are headed to hell!

I’ve been a faithful Gospel sharing Believer for over 40 years. I can count on one hand the number of born-again Christians I have ever met out in public who tried to even give me a Bible tract…let alone try to share the Gospel with me!  Isn’t that a shame!  What a sad testimony about the evangelism concerns of the American born-again Church! In forty years of being saved I should have come across hundreds if not thousands of born-again Believers (in public places) trying to at least give me a Bible Tract! The words of the savior to His Followers was GO OUT IN THE WORLD and share the Gospel with the unsaved. Unfortunately, that clear cut command has ‘evolved into’ STAY IN the nice warm, comfy, safe confines of your local Church and preach the Gospel to the sheep at some inadequate revival meeting a couple times a year!

Brethren, Believers are called to be ambassadors for Christ. That means were called to be public spokespeople for our savior! Secular ambassadors don’t ‘hide out’ in their basements! Secular American ambassadors go to foreign countries and speak well of…and build up their home country. Secular ambassadors go out of their way to boldly and proudly profess the blessings and goodness of their home country….encouraging foreign countries to be part of the American dream! Well, that’s what Christian ambassadors should do with the unsaved…as they speak well of and build up their savior! The unsaved need to be ‘persuaded’ (thru love, reason and logic) that Yeshua is a ‘country’ that they should want to be part of! Unfortunately, that’s only going to happen IF the Believer is willing to ‘open their mouth for Christ!’

Church, our Heavenly Father put the responsibility of sharing the love story of His Son on us! Our Father didn’t give this responsibility to angels. He didn’t just give this responsibility to gifted evangelists! And our Heavenly Father most definitely never, ever expected that the only person in a born-again Church to be sharing the Gospel is the pastor.  What has happened in today’s born-again Church is that much of the Believer’s responsibility for GOING OUT INTO THE WORLD and preaching the Gospel to the lost has been ‘delegated’ to some far away missionary…or some unbiblical ‘traveling evangelist’ (who shows up once a year) and preaches to the choir!  

I say shame on any born-again Believer who ‘hogs’ the ‘love of Christ’ all to themselves! Shame on the cowardly born-again Believer who knows that the people at their place of employment are headed to hell…and they still don’t say a word! Shame on the Believer who doesn’t even know IF the people they meet regularly at: the neighborhood grocery store, or gas station, or dentist office or local downtown farmer’s market etc. are saved or not! Shame on the born-again Believer who doesn’t share his or her faith because they’re fearful of what the unsaved might think of them!    

Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we Believers are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race Yahweh has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Yeshua, the champion of the faith who completed the race. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, DISREGARDING the public SHAME it brought on Him! 

Church…our savior is not asking us to ‘hang on a cross’ for Him…although we should be willing to die for Him. He’s simply asking us to care enough about what He did to save our sorry butts from hell...that we would WANT TO to GO OUT and tell others how much He loves them too!
