The Republican Party has now descended to a point that all they have left is fear. They fear Trump, both his staying in the party and his leaving it, and they fear voters as they try to minimize their numbers.

Fear is also the only policy they have to sell. They have no vision for the country to aspire to, only different types of people to fear and hate.
