Many religions create a fear like if you don't do certain rituals in a certain way God may get angry and punish you. Irrelevant of what religion it is, all religions have imposed  a strong fear in the name of God. Some preachers, gurus or religious leaders who pretend to know more about the religion create this nuisance. All of  them collectively say that if certain rites are not performed then God will get angry, God will punish the sinners, God hates those who commit crimes, God makes our lives miserable if we don't worship him the given way…On and on and on?
