  • Get Out of Your Own Way- Too Good To Be True

This is our fourth week in our series titled “Too Good to Be True”. There are many stories in the Bible that center around characters with big faith. This week Pastor Brian uses the story of Gideon to challenge our faith and push us to go from insecurity that says, “I Can’t” to faith that says, “He Can”.

    Discussion Questions

    1. What do you feel about the possibility of Covid lasting seven years? Why?
    2. Do your insecurities or feathers come from your current circumstances, the past or people the most? Why?
    3. What is something that you truly believe about God that helps you get through the day?
    4. Where do you feel stuck or stagnant right now in your faith journey? What will it take for you to take a step?

    Covid-19 Precautions

    1. If you’re not feeling well, please wait to attend on campus until you’re fully healthy.
    2. We have two on-campus Sunday services: 9:30 and 11am (Our 11:00am service is live online on our Facebook Page and YouTube Channel)
    3. We provide kids ministry (birth – 5th grade) at 9:30am and kids and middle school (6th-8th grade) at our 11:00am service. High school ministry meets Sundays at 6:00pm on-campus.
    4. We encourage facial coverings per the current state health order. We are minimizing some common touch points, providing hand sanitizer, and offering some increased spacing in seating areas.

  • What is Your Faith Worth?- Too Good To Be True

This is our third week in our series titled “Too Good to Be True”. There are many stories in the Bible that center around characters with big faith. God blessed the people in scripture who took risks and obeyed His Word even when they weren’t sure of the outcome. Looking at these stories, it may feel like their faith is something unattainable, and even if it is, some crazy miracle isn’t going to happen as a result, right?  This week, Chris Voltz shares the story of the prophet Elisha and how he gave up his comfort, security and time to honor God and,   because of that great faith, his legacy lived on, even after death.

    Discussion Questions

    1. Who is your favorite Avenger and why?
    2. On a scale from 1 to 10, how much would you say you are investing into your faith right now?
    3. Has there ever been a time that you made a big faith decision and saw God’s blessing? Share the story with your group or with a friend.
    4. What are a few things you can be doing this week to begin to sacrifice your comfort, security and time for the sake of someone else?

    Covid-19 Precautions

    1. If you’re not feeling well, please wait to attend on campus until you’re fully healthy.
    2. We have two on-campus Sunday services: 9:30 and 11am (Our 11:00am service is live online on our Facebook Page and YouTube Channel)
    3. We provide kids ministry (birth – 5th grade) at 9:30am and kids and middle school (6th-8th grade) at our 11:00am service. High school ministry meets Sundays at 6:00pm on-campus.
    4. We encourage facial coverings per the current state health order. We are minimizing some common touchpoints, providing hand sanitizer, and offering some increased spacing in seating areas.

  • Even If He Doesn't- Too Good To Be True

We are excited that you have joined us this week on the Fearless Church podcast. This is our second week in our series titled “Too Good to Be True”. There are many stories in the Bible that center around characters with big faith. God blessed the men and women who took risks and obeyed His Word even when they weren’t sure of the outcome. Achieving the level of faith that the men and women in the bible have often seems unattainable but truly they are just like you and me.  This week Chris Williams examines the faith of three men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, their journey into a fiery furnace, and how their story can push us from “What If” fear to “Even If”  faith.

    Discussion Questions:

    1. What is the most common cause of worry in your life? What do you do to minimize that specific worry?
    2. Read Daniel Ch. 3. What part of this story stand out to you the most? Why?
    3. Share a time in your life when God chose not to prevent hurt, pain, or suffering. How did that shape your faith into what it is today?
    4. Pastor Chris said, “Faith is believing that God can while trusting even if he doesn’t.” Do you agree or disagree with that thought? Why?

    Covid-19 Precautions

    1. If you’re not feeling well, please wait to attend on campus until you’re fully healthy.
    2. We have two on-campus Sunday services: 9:30 and 11am (Our 11:00am service is live online on our Facebook Page and YouTube Channel)

  • When Faith Wavers- Too Good To Be True

We are excited that you have joined us this week on the Fearless Church podcast. This week we start a new series titled “Too Good to Be True”. There are many stories in the Bible that center around characters with big faith. God blessed the men and women who took risks and obeyed His Word when they weren’t sure of the outcome. What can we learn from these men and women of faith and these stories that sometimes seem too good to be true? Achieving the level of faith that the men and women in the bible have often seems unattainable but truly they are just like you and me.  Through the story of Elijah, Chris Voltz challenges us this week to look at what happens when our faith wavers and helps us to remember that because God is Faithful all the time, we can turn to him any time.

    Discussion Questions

    1. Who is your favorite old testament bible story character and why?
    2. Share about a season of your life where you had extremely big faith. How did you see God move during that time?
    3. What are you trusting God for in this season? Would you say that your faith is big or small right now?
    4. Are you surrounded by people who will push you back towards Jesus when your faith wavers? How can you be proactive in finding those people for yourself? And how can you provide that support for others?

    Covid-19 Precautions

    1. If you’re not feeling well, please wait to attend on campus until you’re fully healthy.

  • Leverage Your Influence- Broken Record

Welcome to the Fearless Church podcast! We are so glad you are joining us for the third and final message in our Sermon Series, “Broken Record”. The events of the past year have shown us that our world has a lot of work to do in learning to understand how to bridge the racial divide in humanity. We believe that the church should be the leader in building a bridge towards one another. We also believe that this problem will be fixed not by better strategies, elected officials or social media campaigns. It can only be healed by the power of the Gospel. This week Pastor Chris Williams shares a sermon titled, “Leverage Your Influence”.

    Discussion Questions

    1. Who and how have others influenced the way you think about minorities in America?
    2. How does someone gain influence into the way you think, act, and believe? How does someone lose influence in your life?
    3. Where do you have the most influence (roles and relationships) to help bring about racial reconciliation and restoration in our community?
    4. What is your biggest barrier to leveraging your influence to help those experiencing hate, discrimination and injustice in our community?

    Covid-19 Precautions

    1. If you’re not feeling well, please wait to attend on campus until you’re fully healthy.
    2. We have two on-campus Sunday services: 9:30 and 11am (Our 11:00am service is live online on our Facebook Page and YouTube Channel)

This week we were honored to hear from a guest speaker. Bishop Robert Lyons Jr. is the Senior Pastor of The Marketplace Movement. He and his wife founded this ministry in 2003. Robert has a passion for preaching the Gospel and training others to be better communicators. He is constantly raising up leaders in his church and also teaches a few High School communication classes at Dayton Christian School. We were blessed by his message titled “We Becomes Me” and hope that you will be too.
