Hey friends!! I hope you enjoy this episode!!

I want to encourage you all to step into whatever crazy thing is on your heart. Because the reality is, if it’s on your heart and it’s a desire you have.. Its not actually that crazy.

BELIEVE THAT IT CAN HAPPEN. Write it out as many times as you need to to get it in your mind. No one else can believe for you whatever it is that on your heart. At some point you just have to do something. Like seriously. Nothing is going to change if you keep complaining. Nothing is going to change if you look for just one more persons approval (only God should be approving anything that you do). Nothing is going to change if you dont believe that what you need to go after whats on your heart is within you and whatever you dont have God will give to you through community.

Remember that not everyone and sometimes anyone is going to understand the gifts and desires that God has put within you. Wanting others to understand you is truly only placing the focu on you and this becomes selfish. Sometimes it take some waiting for the right people to come along that just understand what it is that you are desiring for. The wait gets hard and it can truly be fustrating, but I promise that God is bringing you some amazing community.

Stop hiding behind your personality. When you hidebehind your personality you let it become an excuse as to why you dont go out and try new things.. And when you dont go out and try new things you wont succeed at anything.

Continue to educate yourself. Now this doesnt neccesarily mean that you have to go back to school. Not at all. There are sooo many resources online for you to continue learning in what ever area it is that you want to.

What you begin to perpetually focus on will compound into whatever your future will hold. So if you are putting in work for your goals now, you will see the fruits of this in years to come. But if youre not attempting to do anything right now, you cant expect to have the things youve dreamed about… it’ll stay that, a dream. Time is also a persons biggest reason for not going after something new. Time compounding is how you get things done. Say you have you and one other person on your team.. If you have one hour to do something but your partner has 5 hours.. You then have 6 hours to work towards your goal. Time isnt your issue commitment is.

The thing is.. if we don't stand firm in Christ, we'll never have faith for the next step in life. When we're not firm in Him we'll never know who we truly are. And when we're not firm in Him, we'll never know what the work of His love can truly do in our lives. 

Choosing to stand firm in Christ has led me to live outside of the label of introverted. I can't BE introverted to live out the calling God has for me. BEing takes intentionality and I want to BE a follower of the Spirit. I think that, very often, we chose not to go for that huge faith step because it goes against our personality. ⠀

Choosing to stand in the love that the Father has for you, which is outside of your personality (your comfort zone) is the way to live this life. Choosing to take steps of faith leads us to understanding more about ourselves and who He has created us to be.⠀

Choosing to stand in Him means actively choosing to follow the spirit and go against the flesh.

God has created you in His image 

Genesis 1:27 “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.“

There is no greater gift than to be created in the image of Christ. It’s a reminder of how beautiful we are inside and out. The glory of who He is rest within us and when we live and walk with Him this glory shines from within us. 

When we dont believe that God has created us each uniquely and that who we are as a person represents the beauty and creativity of Christ, we are telling Him that His creativity isnt worth believing that it isnt true. Imagine what this does to His heart. 

We are His sons and daughters

Ephesians 1:5 “God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.”

Our Greatest gift to Him is to walk in the purpose He has for us

As God has given us the gift of life.. The greatest Gift that we can give Him is to walk in obedience and live out the purposes that He has for us. Living out these purposes no matter how we feel, not matter what the world says, etc.

SO many of us struggle with accepting the truth that God has for us in the bible. We struggle with understanding what scripture means. We struggle in understanding that pain will happen, we are not yet free from struggle. We simply struggle understanding that truth is for us.

Today’s topic, is something I have been thinking about a lot lately, because of the fact that I have so many personal dreams and goals that I want to reach. I sometimes get the thought in my head that people are going to think I am too young, then this often makes me feel timid and less likely to go after my goals.

Knowing that there is something that you want, but not feeling like you’re enough or don’t have enough skills to go after a certain thing? 

If you have… I want to remind you that I’ve been there, super recently actually. The super amazing thing about these feelings, is that they’re false. If God has given us a dream or desire for something, He has also given us all of the tools that we need to reach these things and what we lack in He will place people in our lives who have these qualities.

View of God

How do you view god!? Is he distant? Tell my story

Soda can machine god- if I do good he’ll do good. If you think like this your intentions for what you are doing probably are not sincere.

Youth retreat god/ boyfriend god- I will always feel some type of dramatic presence.. The truth is that we are least aware of what is constant

Taskmaster- always one step away from squishing me

Superman god- he will keep bad things from happening to good people

View of Self

Unworthy? Shamefull? Too sinful. Undeserving of God’s grace and gifts because your sin was too deep. Ive been there.

View of Others

We rather do life on your own. People are incompetent and only looking out for themselves, so I wont ask for help.

These are all my thoughts yall.. Like some of them I had yesterday. But what happens when we think like this is that we become bitter towards the people. We get prideful and assume that we can do this life on our own. But that not true. We only end up closed off from the world.
