Goodbye!
The week is our second episode discussing the 2006 smash hit (at least according to us) She's the Man, starring Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum. Thanks for sticking with us for this two parter. I had so much footage it could have been a three parter, but we did it!
Listen to hear us discuss which streaming platform I think should do a remake, the curve of Channing Tatum's chiseled jawline, and our choice of casting. We had an overlap amongst the main three.
You can follow the podcast at @featurefavoritespod on instagram, or just follow me @petemali . Love you all and if you have any questions, feel free to message me if you ever want to be part of an episode. Have a great week!
Join me and my special guest, Sarah Senn, in this episode where we discuss a movie that we've both loved for over a decade and a half. This 2006 Teenage Romantic Comedy starring Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum released to mixed reviews, but I've loved this movie forever. My raw audio file for this episode was over 3 hours long so I've decided to split it up over 2 episodes.
Listen to this week's episode, Part 1, to hear us talk through the first half of the movie, meet some iconic characters, and shout out a very special listener, our mom Anne!
Thank you for joining us! If you'd like to follow the podcast on instagram you can find it @featurefavortiespod or follow me @petemali. Episodes release every Wednesday at 8am EST.
In this week's episode we are approaching one of my favorite nights of the year. The fashion. The drama. The celebrity interactions! This years Oscar's are going to be little bit different than normal, but "The Biggest Night in Hollywood" will carry the same amount of weight. In a year that looked like there wouldn't be many good options for nominations, we ended up having a great crop of nominees.
Today I will be talking about my thoughts and who I think should/will win the Big 6 categories at this years 93rd Academy Awards.
Come back next week where I will be joined by my amazing sister to discuss one of our mutual favorite films, She's The Man. I am beyond excited to finally talk about this movie and share my thoughts with you.
If you liked the podcast please follow me over on instragram @featurefavoritespod or @petemali and send me your thoughts on who might be this years winners.
This is a different kind of episode for Feature Favorites! I am going to be talking about some of my favorite things from the 1st few months of 2021.
I'll be discussing things like clothing, my obsession with Target, and the iconic acting ability of Elizabeth Olsen. I will be tagging as much as I can on instragram over at @featurefavoritespod. Thank you for joining my on an episode of Feature Favorites where I feature some favorite non-features. I admit that was fun to write, but will surely be confusing to read.
Warning below for spoilers on my favorites:
Shopping/Clothing
-Target Home, Abercrombie, Poshmark, & LuluLemon
Books
-Bridgerton, Pride and Prejudice (read by Rosamund Pike), Red, White, and Royal Blue, & Oona Out of Order
Music/TV/Videos
-Clevver Style, MovieBitches, SZA, & WandaVision
Nouns
-TerraCotta, Ginger Hair, Elizabeth Olsen, & Other Podcasts!
Wassup?! In this week's episode I am talking about not a movie, but a filmed version of an off broadway Harry Potter parody called PUFFS. I went a little less into detail in this episode to test out a different commentary type. Let me know if you think it was better!
Puffs tells the story of Harry Potter, but from the point of view of a set of Hufflepuff students. We go through the same coming of age tropes while seeing the story of a "chosen one" character from the people on the fringes.
Obviously SPOILERS for the Harry Potter Series if you don't know what happens. Join me as I discuss corny jokes, the Hogwarts houses, and my love for an actress who plays up to 4 roles in the show.
You can follow the podcast on instagram @featurefavoritespod or me @petemali. Let me know if you have any suggestions or would like to be a guest on the podcast. I'd be happy to watch one of your favorite movies and discuss.
xoxo
Howdy people! I had a pretty busy week and worked all weekend so this episode may have been a little rushed. Good news is I get to discuss a movie that I was introduced to pretty young, Down with Love! Starring Renee Zellweger & Ewan McGregor, Down with Love is an homage to the late 50s/early 60s romantic comedies starring Hollywood greats like Doris Day and Rock Hudson. Join me as I walk you through the movie providing some of my thoughts on things like split-screen phone call scenes, butch Sarah Paulson, and the raw animal magnetism of Ewan McGregor.
If you had fun listening, follow the pod on insta @featurefavoritespod or follow me @petemali . I try to post each episode on Wednesday mornings, so be on the lookout across all podcasting platforms. If you want, you can follow the pod on your streaming service or add a review. It would really help to intro the podcast to people other than ones that already know me.
Thank you and see you next week.
