The Black Sea grain initiative established last summer has been crucial in tackling the global food crisis resulting from the war in Ukraine. But this week Russia said if its demands are not met, it sees no prospect for extending the deal beyond the middle of July. Ukraine is a major grain exporter, accounting for 10% of the world's supply of wheat, 15% of the corn market, and 13% of world barley. The charity The Hunger Project says if the grain deal fails it will put millions of people at risk of severe hunger or famine. Joining Julia to discuss is The Hunger Project CEO Tim Prewitt.
