The US and China today announced a new working group on commercial issues, the latest effort between the two nations to help improve business ties. The news comes on the first day of talks between US Commerce secretary Gina Raimondo and Chinese officials in Beijing. Washington has taken major action recently to cut imports of key technologies to China, but the Biden administration remains hopeful that the two nations can boost trade beyond the sphere of national security concerns.
