In this episode, we discuss separating the Executive Branch into smaller pieces. Limiting and delineating their powers allows for more robust and healthy governance.
A break from our normal format seemed appropriate given the momentous election we just experienced. I spend a lot of time talking about my broad views on the Executive Branch, Representative Democracy and the Election. It's a little longer than normal and completely unscripted so I apologize for the slight rambling nature. Hopefully it sparks some interesting discussion, however.
We discuss the final changes to the role of the legislature and take a little detour into Federalism and Economics.
This episode explores the legislative powers and limitations of our restructured congress as well as giving the populace a powerful new tool to use when the legislature fails to work for them. We do touch briefly on the reconciliation process of our tricameral system. But don't let that stop you form listening to the rest!
This episode discusses the powers (both existing and new) of the proposed tricameral system as well as the process by which laws get crafted.
In this episode we discuss the relatively small changes needed for the senate and the much more monumental addition of a third legislative body. You thought we were getting rid of a bicameral legislature? Nope, we're going to double down on the idea of a divided legislature and make a tricameral body.
In this episode we discuss the value of political parties, the necessity of congressional leadership and the impact that all of our changes will have on the electoral college. As always, contact me at [email protected] and thanks for listening!

We talk about a potentially radical solution to the House of Representatives and solutions to dramatically reduce and potentially even eliminate both gerrymandering and the two party system.
Federalist 2.0 is a new podcast devoted to exploring the rough edges of the Constitution and creating a dialogue about how best to fix them. In this episode we discuss the need for one last amendment and the dramatic, radical changes that would result from that.
