You are not the trailblazer that you think you are…I’m just saying.
A father’s wisdom is available to the son who is willing to listen; who is wanting to avoid some trials and tribulations by listening to one who has gone before.
Because he knows a little more than you think he does.
He’s been around the block a time a two, been into some stuff that we couldn’t imagine, seen some things that you’ll never know. And he is wanting to save you from some mistakes that he made.
It’s not just rules and regulations to keep you down—but to benefit you, to elevate you, to save you from things you don’t even know yet.
And we just talking about an earthly father…how much more so our Heavenly Father!?!
Jesus Christ was sent to not only be our Redeemer, but to be our Way.
Which means that He has gone before you…He’s been there and done that, He’s seen a few things more than us, He’s experienced the trials and temptations (and yet without sin) and He is, through the Holy Spirit, trying to elevate you to avoid the pitfalls, the mistakes, the unnecessary trials.
But we have to be willing to listen.
To accept the wisdom; to believe Him when He speaks to us what to do.
He loves us…and wants what is best for us.
Dare we respect that like a son should, and trust Him in it.
