Jordan Criss returns to the show! In this episode, we go deeper in trying to understand where Jordan's creativity has come from. On the surface, he's a creative writer if you sum up all of his interests from music, screenwriting, and storytelling. But there's a second competent at play performance, but the caveat here is that it has to be done authentically. Whether that be Jordan's performance on stage or through the emotion he's trying to convey in writing. This is just scratching the surface on exploring Jordan's creative process. With that, we close on thoughts on the season of Game of Thrones. We've meant to get this out of the way, so here it is! This your first warning for spoilers if it is not well past us have to warn you about it.

Joe Jackowski is back on the show! This conversation can be seen as a continuation of the previous episode 53, as we are still exploring the topic of meaning. We start today's conversation articulating the importance of writing, and some of the tools we use to structure what we write. From there, we have a deeper dive into Joe's Thesis, which is broadly around meaning and then applying meaning-making in military veterans for his research. For this episode, we spend much of our time laying out the framework used to understand the process of meaning-making and why does it provide so much value to us.

“Thinking capacity in the person gets sacrificed on the altar of empathy. " - Joe Jackowski
Joe Jackowski and Nick Buegel return to the show. Joe is currently in the beginning stages of his thesis, where he is diving deep in the psychology of meaning where our conversation starts. At this point, we meander through history, picking at ideology and power using the Nazis, Hitler, and Operation Paperclip as examples. We then connect back to a more personal scale on how our beliefs and upbringing affect ourselves and those around us. We close with thoughts on power, responsibility, and leadership.

Jordan Criss returns to the show to talk about his recent trip to Minneapolis, Minnesota. The catalyst for the trip was to attend Soundset 2019, a purely Hip Hop music festival that has taken place memorial day weekend since 2008. Outside of music, Jordan enlightens us on his other passions: Food and Craft Beer in Minneapolis. To name a few, we talk about Surly Brewing and Matt's Bar: Home of the "Jucy Lucy." Please enjoy this conversation.

Mike Taccona and Eric Herrera return to the show! In this experimental episode, we take a topic we haven't covered much, but one that we can all take part — the process of making food. Mike has always been interested in creating high-quality meals and has been experimenting with burgers. Mike whips up his idea of a traditional American hamburger. The best part of cooking is sharing it with others, and that's what we do, storytelling included Just for fun we decided to throw in couple craft beers for taste testing. As a disclaimer, this episode was recorded outside, so the atmosphere and sound levels are a bit different in this episode.
Soon, we hope to create podcasts that capture every stage of the cooking podcast you the listener can come to this page and recreate what we did.

Nick and Erich return to reflect on graduation and their college experiences. In general, understanding where we came from to know where we are going. College is a significant milestone for our lives, and taking the time to reflect on the six-year journey has been crucial in getting the maximum value from it.
In many ways, I don't think I was as challenged in college as I could have been, but I chose to seek challenge for myself. Be that from fitness, nutrition, books, and podcasts, and much more. All those small steps have allowed me to begin to formulate the type of information that I share here on this podcast.
Now with 50 (!) episodes under our belts, it's still surreal to me. This podcast has evolved into something that I would never have expected, and I have started connecting with some of the most exciting people I have been able to meet just by being open to that type of connection! The part of this that still hits home is getting messages from people who listen to the podcast and leave notes about it. It never gets old. Please feel to reach out to me and let know what you're learning about what topic you've been starting to explore! I want to try and highlight what every one of you is doing as well.
Thanks again for joining me on the journey, as on chapter ends, another begins.

Nick Wenzel is a recent graduate from Columbia College Chicago in Graphic Design. Even with this degree, he describes his skill set as Graphic Communication because that encompasses all aspects from photography, videography, and design. Nick shares how he was able to take what many assume is an artistic avenue and transition it with the more business-oriented approach. He gives his thoughts on misconceptions within the graphic communication space. We then transition to broader topics on finding what interests you most and encouraging yourself to try things that you don't know how to do. In general, getting comfortable with failing.

Joe and Erich have a discussion built around relationships, which morphs into how we connect with each other. We talk about removing the buffer between the outside world and ourselves. That when we remove the buffer, we allow for meaningful moments to happen spontaneously. From there we talk about the cynicism of our generation that seems to push back on authenticity or showing genuine emotion as a weakness if you don't connect whatever that is on the same level. We can channel someone's else passion and allow that fuel what each out of us enjoys in the world. We need as many taste and views in the world as possible. If we all thought and acted the same way, the world would get stale rather quickly. We spend a portion of time on how we can bring Feeding Curiosity to a live format. Going live is in a seedling stage, but it will happen, and the reason it exists here is keeping ourselves honest. Finally, we close with thoughts on what remember the past is essential. Joe shares stories on what his grandmother experienced and tokens from her life that have now been passed on to him. We brainstorm an idea of how to capture the lives and stories others to allow future generations to get a sense of what it was like before them.
