An integral part of the human journey is to experience events and circumstances that seem to separate us from our true selves. These are the mini-traumas and major-traumas that leave us feeling on edge, unable to settle in and relax for very long, feeling unsafe in our own skin.


According to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, if we want to experience fulfillment and know ourselves as one with All That Is, we must first have our basic needs met – and we must first feel safe in our bodies.


If we want to live a life of Oneness, Unconditional Love and Compassion, and Universal Harmony, it helps to feel ourselves as one with Nature and experience the wisdom of earth within us - the nature that our bodies are made of. 


In this limited lifespan we have in these bodies, we have an incredible opportunity to experience this world through our senses and basic instincts. We have a gift of learning about love and connection in ways that evolve the collective soul.


We are led to believe that we are individual beings out for survival in competition with each other and nature. What we are is cells of one body having a collective experience to evolve a collective consciousness. 


The existence is bigger than our selves and the journey is beyond our individual experiences. Yet our experiences are important to the whole, and our choices and states matter. Our sense of safety and oneness matters.


That is the focus of this week’s Meditation & Healing Circle – feeling safe in the body and trusting in the One Body that is the Rhythm of the breath and the beating of the heart.
