“Feeling trapped and unhappy in your career? Here’s how to get out of the funk”
Do you ever say to yourself
“I have a great job but I’m unhappy. This is not my dream job, but I have many things to be grateful for. My hours are reasonable. I’m well compensated.
I feel guilty because I should be feeling grateful for what I have, but instead, I feel trapped and unhappy. I’m not sure changing jobs would be the answer, and yet, the thought of continuing in this job for years to come makes me feel depressed.”
In this episode, I talk about why it is not unusual for us as women physicians to feel this way despite what we think we should feel.
And I take you through an exercise that I do with my coaching clients that will help you start to identify what you want to achieve and be that will take you from feeling trapped and unhappy, to feeling in control, that you have a choice and therefore, more fulfilled and less frustrated.
