We all know her, we all love her- welcome back, Chelsea Sodaro, to the IronWomen podcast! Since her world championship win in 2022, Chelsea has experienced a whirlwind of ups, downs, and everything in between. In this interview, we got to hear about how she has revamped her support system in 2024, how she finds the wins, even on the hard days, and how she makes sure her athletic career aligns with her personal values. With the NCAA triathlon championships on the horizon this weekend, we are so excited to welcome NCAA coach Jocelyn Bonney to the show! Jocelyn is the assistant coach of the University of Arizona triathlon team in Tucson, Arizona, which is in only its second year as a program. Heading into this year’s race, Arizona is ranked second in the country, so in this interview Jocelyn told us all about what they have done these past two years to get to that level. She told us all about the impotence of culture on their team, anyhow the athletes work together to use their individual strengths to raise the bar for the team as a whole. We loved this interview with Jocelyn, and we are so excited to see what the future holds for her and her team as well as the entirety of NCAA triathlon!

We are so excited to welcome pro long course athlete Danielle Fauteux to the show this week! Danielle recently became a pro at 39 years old, but prior to that she balanced her other hobby of being a plane pilot alongside her career as an architectural designer. In this interview she tells us all about her adventure-filled life, and how all of the passions she has pursued have led her to professional triathlon. Danielle also tells us about how she began her career in elite sport as a semi professional soccer player, as well as doing track and field, and didn't even sign up for an ironman until age 36! She has had numerous top 10 finishes in pro races already and we can't wait to cheer her on in the seasons to come.

This week we are thrilled to welcome pro long course athlete Danielle Lewis back to the show! Danielle has had an incredible season so far this year, including a great result at Ironman Worlds in Nice, but she’s not done yet. She told us in this episode all about how she’s sharpening up for 70.3 world championships in Taupo in December, and how she’s mentally taking on a season that goes so late in the year. We also got to hear about some of the ups and downs of the past few years for Danielle, and how she’s faced them head on and persevered to get to the success she’s having now!

This week we are so excited to welcome Barbara Perkins to the IronWomen podcast!! Barbara is the coach of the Denver University women's triathlon team, which she started herself from the ground up in 2020. In this episode, we got to hear all about what it's like to build an elite and competitive NCAA triathlon program that has consistently been ranked one of the top teams in the nation.
