Our identity is defined by Jesus and our relationship with Him.
So let’s understand who we are according to the Scriptures that defined Jesus and His work.
Pauls says it this way, “If you are Christ’s, then [you really need to know about yourselves that] you are Abraham’s Offspring, heirs according to the Abrahamic Promise.” (Gal 3:29)

In this second half of Galatians 3, Paul underlines again what those who have faith in Christ have received and have become: the children of Abraham who have received the Holy Spirit of God.
The Promise given to Abraham was for those who have faith in Christ. And what about the Law? It was designed to preserve faith in Christ.
Christ is the heir. Faith is the only thing that’s every mattered. We are heirs who trust in Jesus.

Part of the problem in Galatia is that they didn’t know what the Holy Spirit meant about them or how they received the Holy Spirit. A similar problem continues today: we don’t know what the Spirit means about us, or how the Spirit comes into our lives.
Paul addresses these questions from a very interesting angle in Galatians 3.

“Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loves me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)
How far does grace go in our lives? Well, it would like to go everywhere.
We believe that Jesus changes everything. In this study we reflect on some of what “everything” means.

“Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loves me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)
The whole of our story is told in our relationship with Christ. That relationship defines us. We are His.
Christ is in us. What does Christ do? He directs us to live by trusting Him. And where does faith in Jesus take us? To Christlikeness.
And that’s where we want to go.

“I have been crucified with Christ. I no longer live.” (Galatians 2:20)
So much of what Paul’s message to the Galatian church is wrapped up in this short mini-biography. There’s a lot, therefore, to unpack here.
What is it exactly that has been crucified with Christ?
What does it mean for us that that thing, that “I”, has been crucified?
The truth is, it’s the cross that begins to tell the true story about all of us.

Every society, every culture, every place where people gather and operate, is run by the rules of The Social Order. The Social Order groups the righteous and the unrighteous, monitors their interaction, and dictates how they navigate the groups.
What difference does Jesus make?

What is The Way to goodness, life, light, love, and joy? Go there!
Psalm 51 describes King David’s journey into God’s delight. So it is an invitation to us to consider where we are, and where we are going.

When you’ve experienced the journey of grace and restoration that King David has, when you see for yourself the absolute centrality of the Gospel to all things, you’re going to do what David does: pray for and give to the protection and advancement of the Gospel.
Which is good. Because the economy of the Kingdom is what God has provided us with, in you.
