The Promise Made to Abraham is the Promise Revealed to Mary & Joseph, and finally…the child is born - Promise Fulfilled, leading us to answer the ‘Christmas Question’.

After many years of silence, God reveals His Promise, not to kings & priests, but to a young, ordinary couple. Today we will see the God’s Promise Revealed with a heartbeat and a dream.

There is a thread that runs through every writing in Scripture - the Promise of His Presence. It all started with a PROMISE MADE to Abraham extending to Isaac, Jacob, and for generations to come…including us!

Once again, Thanksgiving is upon us - a time when we are reminded to remember the goodness of God in our lives. Today we pause and remember the goodness of God - our Creator, Provider, & Redeemer.

Today we deal with 'the mother' of all false gods...the god of SELF. Daniel 4 tells us one of the most intriguing illustrations of what it looks like when the God of heaven confronts the god of self, as seen in the life of the powerful Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar.

Powerful people wield authority, position, & influence over others. The desire for power starts when we are young as we jockey for position, wanting to be in charge and telling others what to do. Today we discover a healthy & an unhealthy view of power.

MONEY is a GIFT that can provide for physical & spiritual needs. But if the GIFT becomes our GOD, it can divide family members, multiply worries, & become a heavy-weight contender that competes for 1st place of our lives, one that doesn’t go down easy. Today we discover how to view money in a healthy way that honors God.

LOVE is held up as the ultimate human experience. It’s the subject of countless books, beautiful works of art & poetry, the plot line of innumerable movies, & the theme of most every song. But what happens when the gods of love ultimately fail in replacing the love of God?

We are all bombarded by the message, "If it feels good, do it. If you have an appetite, feed it.” The 'gods of pleasure’ claim that food, sex, & entertainment will somehow fulfill our lives, But is that REALLY TRUE?

Today we kick off a new teaching series called ‘Gods At War’, where we will be confronted with the reality that many ‘gods’ are competing for 1st place in our lives - the gods of pleasure, love, money, power, & self. It's time to choose WHO/WHAT we serve.
