Pins and Needles – A Seat of Honor or A Call to Surrender?

The disciples came expecting a plan for victory. Instead, Jesus offered a meal, a promise, and a call to surrender.

Luke 22:14-34 flips expectations.

They argued about greatness—Jesus pointed them to service.

They sought position—He modeled humility.

Big Idea: Following Jesus isn’t about status or position. It’s about surrender and service.

Redefine greatness.

Examine your heart.

Next Step: Make it personal. Invite someone to experience this message with you.

Pins and Needles – The King We Want vs The King We Need

The crowd expected a political hero—Jesus entered on a donkey.

In Matthew 21:1-11, Jesus reveals a different kind of kingdom. One not built on power or position, but on humility, peace, and sacrifice.

Big Idea: Jesus doesn’t always meet our expectations—He exceeds them in ways we don’t always understand.

Evaluate your expectations.

Trust His plan over your own.

Surrender to His kingship.

Next Step: Choose today to be different.
