Uzziah was a rebellious king of a rebellious people. Isaiah was called as a prophet to call down God's judgement. In Isaiah 6, King Uzziah dies and Isaiah sees the LORD on His throne and realizes he serves a thrice holy God. -There are many parallels between Isaiah's time and our time today. It is easy to become discouraged. We are exposed daily to the best of man's progress, and man's progress comes up short every time. We see the sinfulness of man and can become depressed. Jesus and his holiness offer the only hope against God's coming judgement. As God's people, and like Isaiah we cannot choose man over God. The path of sin is only progressively down. We must as Isaiah, bow before a Holy God.

In the Gospel of Christ we have a message of peace and unity. Jesus is the perfect Savior. There are 3 great mysteries--1. infinite wisdom of love and grace that is found in Jesus. It knows no end.-2. The nature of incarnation, which is God himself. He will save His people.-3. The name of Jesus himself, which has been given authority. --Jesus is a fragrant oil. Salvation is not found in works. We want to earn our way to heaven.-Jesus loves the law, but it cannot save you. We must die to the things we have done before accepting Christ. Salvation is faith in Christ with nothing added.-Jesus is the complete Savior. We do not need to look anywhere else for salvation.-Do I have Christ-

Cain did not follow God's prescribed instruction for worship and sacrifice. God then rejected Cain's offing and Cain became angry with God. God had accepted Abel's offering. God offered Cain forgiveness, which Cain rejected and in anger he killed Abel. Cain is then banished from God' s presence.

Sin is a difficult subject. Mankind does not want to talk about Sin--their Sin. Without knowledge of our sin we can never know God.-We can look at ourselves 1 of 3 ways--1. we are essentially good-2. We are sinners, but can still do good - a limited fall--3. The biblical view of sin--fellowship with God it broken. We have died spiritually-through and through.The serpent made Eve question God -Did God really say...- and he does this even today.-The Fall has broken our fellowship with God.-Men sin because they are sinners and all men will be held accountable.-God is calling us today to step up in a fallen, sinful world-do we hear His call-
