Dr. Njeri Karianjahi subspecialised in adolescent medicine in Canada.
She searched for several programs around the world and considered financial implications before selecting a programme.
She moved to Canada with her family for the duration of the fellowship.
The experience was a transformational opportunity to be exposed to diverse cultures and perspectives in medical practice.
Through the experience she faced challenges with her wellness and was able to access support to cope.
She was able to complete her fellowship successfully with the support of colleagues, friends, family and the institution.
