Primero de mayo 2023, Santiago de Chile. Existiendo dos convocatorias para marchar por el día del trabajador, una oficial de la CUT, y otra no autorizada. La de la CUT planteaba marchar desde sus instalaciones hasta el GAM, a la cual asistieron el PC, Convergencia Social, y otros partidos de la izquierda tradicional, incluyendo también al sindicato de Walmart y otros grandes sindicatos empresariales. Culminó con tranquilidad en un escenario del GAM con música en vivo, y la asistencia de conocidos políticos del gobierno. Por otro lado, la marcha no oficial marchó hacia el otro lado, alejándose de la de la CUT, desde Los Héroes hasta el frontis de la USACH donde estaba instalado un escenario. La marcha estaba constituida por anarquistas, la barra de los de abajo, el PTR, el PC(AP), y afinidades de izquierda más radical.
En esta marcha, en contraste con la marcha oficial, se fue de forma más contestataria, a no alabar el trabajo, a buscar más derechos laborales, y también conmemorando a Francisca Sandoval, periodista asesinada otro primero de mayo, a manos de narcos de ultra derecha apoyados por carabineros.
Al poco tiempo de comenzar la marcha, y en respuestas al accionar de las entidades anarquistas rompiendo símbolos del capitalismo, y la educación de mercado, apareció detrás de la marcha, y en calles aledañas, un fuerte contingente policial que comenzó a presionar la marcha. Entre eso ocurrió un saqueo (que no fue registrado por la seguridad de los compañeros), y enfrentamientos con la policía. Al llegar al escenario comenzó el discurso inaugural, mientras anarquistas contenían a los blindados policiales que querían avanzar para gasear y mojar a la gente que estaba cerca del escenario. Se había programado música en vivo, entre otras cosas, sin embargo, el escenario no duró mucho, ya que la policía logró romper la línea de resistencia, y mojaron y gasearon completamente todo el escenario, provocando que la masa pacífica y el evento se tuviera que retirar.
May 1st 2023, Santiago of Chile. Existing two callings to march for the labour day, one oficial from CUT (Workers unique central), and other one not authorized. The one from CUT portrayed to march from their office to the GAM, PC (Communist party), Convergencia Social, and other political parties from traditional left, and workers unions as Walmart one's participated on it. It all ended up peacefully in GAM with live music and the assistance of well known politicians that are part of the government. On the other side, the nonofficial protest march to the opposite side, making distance from the CUT march, from Los Héroes to the frontis of University of Santiago, whereas an scenario. This protest was conform by anarchists, hooligans from U team, revolutionary workers party, Communist AP party, and affinities from radical left.
In this march, in contrast with the official one, there was a more violent feeling, not enhancing work, calling for more working rights, and also bringing up the memory of Francisca Sandoval, free press corresponsal killed in other may day by far right narcos, with the help of the police obviously.
Just starting, the police appeared in response of anarchist direct action pointed towards capitalist symbols and mercantil education, cops appeared from behind and from nearby streets, pushing the mass. Between this a loot and riot occurred, anarchist took helpful stuff, burned capitalist symbols, and gave food to homeless people and passers-by (This was not registered for the security of our comrades).
When arriving to the stage, an inaugural preach initiated, while anarchists tried to stop police's tanks that wanted to advance to gas and wet the people who were by the stage. Live music was ment to happen, but it didn't, the stage didn't last long, all thanks to the police that won against the protester resistance with numerous Israeli's gas tanks, and at least 5 water cannons. The political police from Chile threw water and gas to the stage, kicking peaceful people out, and booming the event.
