Like many of us, Trina Lo (@freshinkcommunications) hit a point in her career when she became frustrated. She felt her work was getting stagnant and she was falling into routines of being overworked and burnt out that were making her unhappy. She knew she needed to make a change and decided to return to school to become to a graphic designer. Now she runs a marketing company, helping small businesses with all aspects of building their brand - from copywriting to social media management to event planning. Robbin McManne’s female founder story began after the difficult birth of her first child; what she thought would be a beautiful beginning to motherhood was instead five years of emotional and physical pain. She finally decided to seek help for her son and was shocked when Doctors told her it wasn’t her child that needed to change, it was her. Through searching for answers, Robbin found the Conscious Parenting community and started finding ways to connect with her kids. She then commenced on a mission to help other parents overcome the hardships of parenting; and now, as a certified Parenting Coach and the founder of Parenting for Connection, Robbin gets to help parents around the world rediscover joy and love in their relationships with their kids, just like she did.

Renèe Hughes’ (@holisticchampions) first attempt at founding a business didn’t work out. By the end of it, she and her husband were in debt and back in the corporate world, working the traditional 9-5 jobs they dreaded. Shannon Lohr (factory45co) was determined to not have a “real” job. After traveling for several years after College, she connected with another entrepreneur and together they launched a sustainable fashion brand, {r}evolution apparel. Their company soon became the highest funded fashion project in all of Kickstarter history. Shannon knew that was only the beginning, and she became passionate about helping other fashionpreneurs scale their brands. Ashley Holmes (ashley_holmes3202) was getting ready to open her own yoga studio when all of a sudden, the pandemic hit and she watched the world shut down around her. Like many of us, she had to pivot; and being at home with her family caused her to reevaluate what she was seeking in life. Previously struggling with her own fertility, she realized it would give her tremendous joy to be able to guide other prospective Mothers through their own fertility journeys. Ashley now works as a holistic fertility coach, loving the opportunities she has every day to reintroduce happiness and balance into her clients’ lives.
