LYRA is an Irish gem.

The singer from Cork is a talent and tonic and we love having her on The Fergal D'Arcy Show.

She popped into TodayFM Towers for a live session and chat with Fergal.

Looking every inch the stunning pop star she sang her latest belter, 'Lose My MInd' and then a cracking cover of The Weeknd's 'Blinding Lights'

Lyra brought in the New Year of 2021 by HERSELF. Thankfully, this NYE she will have other musicians to help!

And in her usual fab, funny and frank way she described it as:

I was like a lonely soldier last year! The closest contact I had was someone who was putting heated pads in my bra. Just me and the bra warmer and that was it!

Tom Grennan spent many childhood summers in Ireland.

He always talks fondly of his time with his Irish family in Offaly.

His latest song, 'Don't Break My Heart' is dedicated to his Irish cousin Alan who passed away in a car accident when he was only eighteen. As Tom says they were more than cousins, they were really like best mates.

To lose him was a tragedy. I am always thinking of him. We were the two tight ones. The same age. I want him to live forever. I put him on the single cover. I know the world keeps turning but we always need to remember the ones we lose.

He also chats about his super skills as seen in the Soccer Aid game (see below skinning James Bay!)

He's even boxed with Beckham! Tom also cannot wait for his dates at the 3Olympia and Live At The Marquee in 2022!

Written and recorded during lockdown this is James Arthur's most personal album.

His 4th album is 'It'll All Make Sense In The End' and it even features a young boy which is the absolute bulb off him when he was a child. (left is a photo he posted on Instagram of him as a boy)

James has spoken about his troubled childhood before and finding himself in foster care at one point. He puts all of his life into his music.

James Arthur spoke to The Fergal D'Arcy Show about songs like 'Medicine' and it's meaning, to how he hopes to do more acting after his star turn in the 'September' video, and also how hiking and running have helped his mental health plus loads more:

It's the 20th anniversary of when Coldplay supported U2 at Slane.

Is it time they played there as Headiners?

Guy Berryman and Will Champion would love to see it happen.

The beating heart of Coldplay joined The Fergal D'Arcy Show and have such found memories of that time they played in 2001 that if a petition can get started they will play the iconic venue!

Wouldn't that be great! Let's try and petition! If you can start some kind of movement, then I will sign that definitely!

The band are celebrating the release of their brand new album, 'Music Of The Spheres' today.

It contains the smash hit Higher Power and the collab with megaband BTS. Guy and Will sat down with TodayFM's Fergal D'Arcy and chatted all about everything from practicing in the toilets as an early band t playing the biggest venues in the world and a brilliant story all aboput going to Bono's gaff.

They literally jumped in a taxi and said "Can you take us to Bono's ghouse please?" and the driver knew it straight away!
