Today we wrap up our thirty-something weeks in the book of Exodus. We've seen glimpses of Jesus throughout this journey and as we bring things to a close, we see Him even clearer. The Old Testament unlocks the New Testament, and it's beautiful to see the progression of the Lord's presence here on earth. First in the Tabernacle, then in the Incarnate Christ, and finally His Spirit coming to live within us as believers.

Sometimes we come across sticky verses in the Bible. We know that God's Word is true, cover-to-cover. So, how do we tackle verses like Exodus 32:14? We take a look at what the Lord says about Himself throughout the entirety of Scripture. And today's passage reveals the heart of God and teaches us a lot about prayer.

When God asked, Isaiah was willing to say, "Yes." Are we willing to say YES to the Lord? Join us today as we take a peek into the throne room of heaven and see how our good heavenly father encourages us to take the next step. That next "Yes" will be different, person to person. It may be to begin a relationship with Jesus, it may be to join a small group, it may be to find a place to serve. Whatever you sense the Lord calling you to do, be ready and willing to say, "Here I am!"

We each have been given talents and gift from the Lord. What are you good at? How can we use that for the glory of God and building His Kingdom and not our own. As we look at the story of Bezalel and his grandpa, Hur, we see that using your gifts for God's glory has a lasting impact. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is theLord Christ you are serving." Colossians 3:23-24

Each of us has a God view (a way we view God). Whether we know it or not. The way we each view God may vary.  It may vary because of culture or time period, but it can also vary because of personal experience, family history or wounds we may have experienced. Does your God-view line up with Scripture? Does the view of God that you hold in your mind and heart line up with what God has revealed about Himself?

We think of all the things that Moses got to experience: the parting of the Red Sea, water from a rock, the Cloud and Fire. We read in today's chapter that Moses asks God for more. And we might think, "Come on, haven't you gotten enough?" But what Moses is asking for isn't more stuff from God, He's asking for MORE of GOD. To experience Him, to know Him better, to be closer to Him. Let us never take for granted this truth: the Almighty God, Creator of the universe, desires to have a friendship with us, the creatures He breathed out of dust.

While Moses is on the mountain getting the 10 Commandments from God, Aaron is down with the people leading them to worship the golden calf. What a mess! In that moment they broke 6/10 of the commandments and get a failing grade when it comes to obeying the Lord. But despite his major failure, Aaron is still loved and favored by the Lord. God's wasn't done with Aaron, and He's not done with us either. No mistake too big, no failure too embarrassing - God welcomes us back with open arms!

It's easy to get lost in the details when it comes to what the high priest was supposed to wear, but when you look closer it's a beautiful picture that points to Jesus. God shoulders the weight of our sin, He keeps us close to His heart. And our Great High Priest paid the debt for our sin once and for all! When the work was finished He sat down at the right hand of the Father, praise be to God!

Let's examine what was inside of the Tabernacle, and how each object points to the Savior who would one day come. These chapters of Exodus foreshadow the way God would one day dwell with His people - in our hearts. The veil is torn, the invitation is given.

Don't get distracted by all the gold and silver used to build the Tabernacle. The greatest miracle isn't that God lived in a tent, the greatest miracle is that God through His Son Jesus, came to live in you.
