Jesus knew what His last words would be. "Father, into your hands, I commit my spirit." A bedtime prayer that became Jesus' last words encourages us to surrender everything we are to God. His hands are powerful, loving and secure. 

We can't always understand why something happens or doesn't happen. We can't always deal with a "no". But warriors surrender control to the One who is already in control. Warriors trust God's plan even that plan isn't clear in the moment. Listen in on the last message of our Warrior series.

When we make mistakes, we have a choice to reach up or reach out. Job 14 says we only live a few days and have lots of trouble. Looking at the life of David, we see that God doesn't always deliver him from pain, but He delivers David through pain.

The life of David helps us tackle some of the major questions about how we follow Jesus. Truth is – we're all sinners, and we are all bound to make a bad choice at some point in our lives. As we turn to 2 Samuel 12, we can look at Nathan's confrontation of David and learn that God calls us to repent of our sins and find life in Christ.

David finds himself in a place he's not supposed to be. When he invites Bathsheba into his palace, he knew what he was doing. He failed to follow the Lord's command, and he gives into temptation. We need to know where we're vulnerable, put together a game plan, and walk by the Spirit to avoid gratifying the desires of our flesh.

As David runs from King Saul, he finds himself lost. We've all been there. He seeks refuge in the hands of the enemy, and while he's there, he doesn't speak to God for years. So how does David make it home? Listen in to find out. 

When David tries to run from his circumstances and lie out of fear, God reminds David how faithful He is. As Ahimelech hands David the sword of Goliath, David remembers - God sees me, God hears me, and He will get me through this.
