In Matthew 23:11, Jesus says that greatest among you shall be your servant. When Jesus then washes His disciples feet, He sets an example for those who follow Him. Our prayer is that by serving others, our church would lead people into a relationship with Jesus.

God doesn't require perfection in order to serve His church. When we look at the disciples in the Bible, we see regular, ordinary, prone-to-fail kind of people who dropped everything they had to follow Jesus. At some point, however, they switched from watching Jesus from the sidelines to being put in the game to make disciples on their own. 

Two daughters need healing, and only Jesus can heal them both. Flip your Bibles to Mark 22 and let's read the story of the bleeding woman and the daughter of Jairus. There's many layers to the story similar to a chocolate glazed donut with cream filling, but we learn that Jesus makes unclean people clean.

When a demon-possessed man near the Sea of Galilee gets freed from his demon, he asks if he can follow Jesus on His journey, but Jesus says no. That's right - Jesus says no. But this man turns back and tells everyone in the town what Jesus had done for him. Instead of being bogged down by a "no," he focuses on the "yes." The greatest act of worship is trusting God even when He says no.
