Sonny Hurrell, a 17-year Chef who at 32 years old has found a massive audience on the exploding social platform TikTok (@thatdudecancook), with over 76% being women and moms, has signed with The Digital Renegades division of CelebExperts for representation. Hurrell, based near Aspen Colorado, has been a personal chef for people living the lifestyle of the rich and famous in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains for many years. Hurrell was a slow adopter to TikTok thinking it was only for children. Like most, Hurrell was surprised at the vast audience of adults looking for interesting lifestyle and food-related educational content to consume and ultimately learn something new. Hurrell said, “I figured I was going to get like 100 kids making fun of me which was alright. But after my 1st video blew up on TikTok not only were the numbers insane, the likes, the shares, and the comments were incredibly positive. My name is Polina Isadora, I’m Miss Russian USA 2018. I was born in Moscow, Russia. I moved to the US with my family only five years ago. I had to switch my high school three times because we kept moving from state-to-state. I graduated high school early by doubling up on all of my courses and got admitted to most of the Universities that I was aiming for. I am a student at Rutgers University majoring in neuroscience. Since I was 13 I always wanted to be a model. One mother agency in Moscow offered my mom a contract, but she declined due to our relocation to the US. In NYC, my mom and I went to all of the agency open calls but we were turned down. I never stopped working hard, getting signed to a major modeling agency was my biggest goal. I applied online, emailed, called, went for open calls and all I was getting was rejection. Some agencies made me feel as though I should stop trying, they did not believe in me. About two months ago I got an email from Wilhelmina, and we set an appointment. Now I can proudly say that I am represented by Wilhelmina Models, and I have walked in New York Fashion Week, Los Angeles Fashion Week, and Miami Swim Week. Hard work always pays off. Nashville-based country music artist J.D. Shelburne was raised on a tobacco farm in Taylorsville, Kentucky, just outside of Louisville.
